A Master Services home inspector was dispatched to evaluate a cozy log cabin in Dalton, GA, where a basement wall had suffered significant damage after a  recent heavy rainfall. At the end  of a comprehensive assessment, we deduced that the damage was likely due to external pressure.

To fortify the wall, our team employed the wall plate anchor system. This system employs the stable surrounding soil to halt further damage and strengthen the primary structure, without resorting to invasive and more costly procedures.

Our team headed to a home near Trenton, GA to check out some sagging beams in the crawlspace. Unfortunately, contractors often use undersized beams during the construction process. Beams also rot, shift, and settle with the passage of time. To fix the problem, we installed our SmartJacks system, which permanently fixes the problem by bolstering the weakening beams.

In LaFayette, GA, a home experienced foundation sinking on its front porch, with cracks appearing on the left column. This issue often occurs when the ground beneath shifts or erodes over time. To address this, the Master Services crew installed three helical piers, resembling large screws, to securely anchor the home to stable ground nearby. By strategically drilling holes and installing helical piers at key points, they achieved the desired stabilization. These devices, connected to the footing with steel brackets, ensure the house remains secure for years to come.
