Water damage solved by replacement of old sump pump with Super Sump Pump with Ultra sump battery backup system. When combined with our WaterGuard Drainage System and CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier this provided a fully waterproofed basement.

Before, the dampness and old sump pump in our Kennan homeowner’s basement turned it into an unusable and moldy space, as seen in the first photo. This home had a long, above-ground discharge hose to drain water from the sump pump which was causing a headache for the homeowners every time they mowed their lawn and also a fear that the water would freeze and backup into their basement during the winter months. To fix these issues, we buried the discharge hose underground and installed an IceGuard® Discharge Line System.

The IceGuard System fits over the top of your discharge line to provide water with a secondary escape route. When the main line is working correctly, water simply flows out as usual. However, when the discharge line is frozen, the IceGuard® allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe. This ensures that any water your sump pump is removing from your basement is safely cleared away outside your home, preventing any backed up or frozen lines.
