Crawl Space Repair in Ocean City, MD

This townhome in Ocean City, MD was in dire need of crawl space restoration, so the homeowner called the experts at DryZone. Upon inspection, the experts with DryZone noticed standing water in the back left corner, sagging insulation, and a desperate need for a dehumidifier. The experts also annotated rotting wood. The homeowner was extremely excited and ready to do what was recommended.

DryZone removed all standing water, raked the ground level, and began encapsulating the space. Along with using CleanSpace technology to encapsulate, the DryZone team also blocked off the vents, added a SaniDry Sedona, and Everlast door and replaced the entrance well to ensure maximum protection. The DryZone team informed the homeowner they would return once the crawl space had an opportunity to fully "dry" out with the encapsualtion and determine what wood would need to be replaced.

The homeowner was greatly appreciative and looks forward to having piece of mind knowing the crawl space has been properly and adequately protected

Helpful tip: Extreme moisture buildup can cause severe damage to existing wood in the space, adding a dehumidifier is a great way to protect against high levels of moisture. Call DryZone today to schedule your FREE inspection and estimate!

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Installation in Ocean City, MD

This Ocean City residence was suffering from a moldy and humid crawlspace! With Cleanspace Vapor Barrier and a Sanidry CX dehumidifier installed, both of those problems are under control! Another satisfied homeowner!

I'm a Foward Thinker!

Here's a a homeowner in Fenwick Island who thinks ahead! Not only did they get a CleanSpace system to protect their crawlspace but they also got SmartVents.

SmartVents are great especially if you live in a flood area (like the beaches). If you plan to take out a flood insurance policy some sort of flood vent is now a requirement. SmartVents are great though, because when there isn't a flood they stay closed and keep out humidity. When there is a flood however they open up and let the water in, to relieve pressure off your foundation so it doesn't crack. Then the water can be removed from your crawlspace.

MOLD: the four letter word on the Delmarva Peninsula!

This home owner called us with a musty smell that they were not sure where it was coming from.  We did a thorough inspection of their crawlspace and found the dreaded MOLD on a lot of the joists.  The moisture was very high do to an inadequate vapor barrier, open vents and a screen for a crawlspace entrance. We installed a new moisture barrier called CleanSpace, mitigated the mold and installed a new crawlspace entrance.  The home was done in three days, the floors were warmer in the winter, and the home was much dryer.
