Push piers close the gap in the wall crack

Before and afters are sometimes hard to show when it comes to foundation repair. Push piers are always covered up with fresh concrete. The wall cracks are never going to disappear completely, but getting a big crack to close up like in these pictures makes for a great visual. The push piers that DryZone installed were able to lift the entire wall and close the gap almost to the original position. The wall is now supported and warrantied for many years to come.

Cracking wall gets some braces

Most of us know that once a house is built it takes a few years to "settle". With a basement this can be pretty dangerous though. The pressure from the house, dirt, and water pushing on the basement walls can cause them to crack and start to buckle. When a wall bows inward all the weight from the top and the dirt pushing in can cause it to collapse. Then you have a very unstable foundation and risk your house coming down. To fix this problem the wall needs to be straightened back out, strengthened, and anchored down. DryZone installs a great product for this called Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System. This product consists of three parts. An earth anchor placed securely in stable soil, a long threaded steel rod that connects to the steel plates on the inside of the wall. This system holds the wall in place so it cannot bow any further. The anchor can also be tightened at different intervals to straighten the wall out. In addition you can also get hide away panels for finished or unfinished basements.

Your house isn't the only thing that needs support

If you are planning on getting a deck, porch, or something similar to that you know that you will need support post. But just like your actual home the soil underneath of those post will settle in time as well. So if your cement foundation on a home cracks after settling don't you think the cement at the bottom of your posts will crack too?

You should take the precaution before building any sort of addition and taking the risk of it sinking away from your home or falling apart due to loose foundation. The Helical Pier is a great way to ensure stability for your new addition. These "post" are made of steel that resist corrosion and go deep into the ground. The Helical Pier is embeded into the ground with a machine that can also fit in tight spaces.
