The waterproofing system in this basement could not keep up with the amount of incoming water during heavy rains.  The resident was tired of dealing with a wet basement, so Woods Basement Systems replaced the old waterproofing system with WaterGuard to permanently waterproof the basement.

This homeowner in Edwardsville, IL decided to have our TripleSafe Sump Pump system, complete with our WaterGuard system, installed in his home. Now he can enjoy a dry basement and have piece of mind knowing his sump pump has an extra pump in the unlikely event the first pump fails, as well as a battery back-up pump to work during power outages.

Ken W. on Edwardsville, Il. had an alarming amount of water leaking into his basement. He contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate. Woods suggested he have a waterproofing system installed. As a part of this waterproofing system, we installed our TripleSafe sump pump, as shown in the pictures.

The TripleSafe sump pump consists of three pumps: the primary, secondary and battery back up in the case of primary pump failure.

Now Ken has the peace of mind that his valuables are safe being stored in the basement.

As part of the waterproofing system, Woods installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed under the concrete floors of the basement and sits on top the the footing of the foundation against the walls, out of the way of any mud that might clog the system. It collects water that leaks into the basement from the walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump.

As part of the waterproofing system, CleanSpace was installed over the basement wall where the chimney had been added. CleanSpace is a durable, thick plastic vapor barrier that prevents water from getting into the basement while covering the unsightly wall that was leaking. It gives the basement an overall cleaner appearance.
