The director of the the University of Illinois Extension in Jacksonville, IL had a major water problem on his hands. The finished basement of his building had flooded extensively and made a mess that took hours to clean up and threatened the storage and meeting areas so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing a waterproofing system.

Woods installed the WaterGuard drainage system under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement. Other drainage systems are notorious for clogging because they sit either alongside of the footing or on the exterior of the foundation. WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing, away from mud and debris that might clog it as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump for its removal.

Stephanie and Nathan B. of Jacksonville, IL thought they’d solved the water problem in their finished basement. They had a sump pump but were still getting leaks. Their sump pump was old, full of mud and had stopped working so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended replacing the sump pump as well as installing an interior waterproofing system.

Woods replaced the old, non-functional sump pump with the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe contains three powerful pumps, including a battery back up pump, within its airtight sealed sump liner. Because it’s connected to an interior drainage system, it won’t become clogged by mud as it expels intruding water out through its discharge lines. It can deal with weather ranging from light sprinkles to heavy downpours and protect the basement during power outages as well.

As part of that system, Woods installed the WaterGuard interior drainage system under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing of the home so it won’t be clogged by mud or plant debris as it catches water from the foundation walls and floors, before it can enter the basement, and drains it to the sump pump for removal.

Elba met with system design specialist, Luke B., who designed a custom-fit plan for Elba's basement. Foreman, Juan H., installed the new waterproofing products in the Jacksonville, Illinois basement.

Foreman, Donald A. installed the products. The Twin Pack sump pump includes two stainless steel pump to protect your home against leaks and floors all year round. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through basemetn walls. It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump to be removed form the home.
