This Granite City, Illinois homeowner was concerned with several of her basement walls. Over the years, they had become full of large cracks and had begun to bow inward. She was worried about a possible wall collapse, so she gave Woods Basement Systems a call. In order to support the walls, a Woods team installed several PowerBrace supports. These steel I-beams totally prevent further movement and cracking!

This Granite City, Illinois homeowner was having issues with severe wall cracks in his basement. He was concerned that, if left unchecked, the walls may eventually fall in. In order to reinforce the walls, a Woods Basement Systems team installed several GeoLock wall supports. These work by connecting heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil far from the home to steel plates affixed to the interior surface of the damaged walls, effectively pulling them outward over time.

Over the years, this Granite City, Illinois driveway had become quite badly cracked. This was because much of the supporting soil had washed away due to rain, causing the slabs to no longer be able to support their own weight. In order to repair the damage, a Woods Basement Systems team used PolyLevel. This expanding composite foam was injected under the damaged slabs in order to raise them and fill in the cracks. Because PolyLevel is quick-drying, the driveway was ready to be driven on in just 30 minutes!

Foundation walls can often come under great pressure from the soil outside as it naturally expands and contracts due to changes in the weather. This expansion will press against the foundation walls and can often cause cracking and inward bowing. 

To fix this problem, wall anchors should be installed along the damaged walls. Wall anchors work by burying an anchor plate outside in the compact soil and attaching it to a plate against the wall inside with a steel rod. The wall is pulled into a supported position by the plates. This system will permanently support and strengthen the wall, preventing further bowing and damage. If installed soon enough, wall anchors can even be used to straigten the walls back to their original position.

With wall anchors installed along this damaged wall, the homeowners won't need to worry about further damage occuring and degrading the integrity and value of their home. 

A foundation in Granite City, IL was settling, causing cracks to appear and water to leak out of them. To solve these issues, Woods installed products to control the water issue. The WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System was first installed. These pipes intercept water at the wall and floor joint of the basement and drain it towards the TripleSafe Sump System, which was also installed to pump the water away from the house. Next, a CleanSpace Liner was installed to stop water vapor from permeating the walls and to drain any wall leaks down to WaterGuard. To repair the foundation crack, the PowerBrace system was installed. These beams will permanently stabilize the foundation, straightening the walls back to their original position and keeping them there. This basement will stay dry, clean, and stable for years to come!
