East Lansing Basement Transformation
The basement wall had a small, non-functional glass block window, which didn’t meet the safety standards required for an egress window. This meant the basement didn’t have proper ventilation, light, or an emergency exit. The foundation was also a concern, with potential issues related to water leakage and radon exposure. A larger egress window was installed, greatly improving safety by providing a proper emergency exit and allowing more natural light and ventilation. The foundation was also addressed, with waterproofing measures taken to prevent leaks, and radon mitigation steps were implemented to ensure a safer indoor environment. The basement is now structurally sound, properly ventilated, and up to code.

With the basement walls primarily made of stone, moisture and high humidity became a serious problem when water began to find its way through. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed to keep the moisture out of the air and reduce mold growth and musty smells by allowing water to drain while protecting the room from ambient moisture.
Crack in Haslett, MI Basement Wall Sealed And Waterproofed For Good
Cracks in basement walls can be difficult to waterproof when conventional sealants don't stick well and cracks move and expand. We've helped many homeowners who have tried to waterproof cracks on their own with no success.
Our team does inject sealants into the crack but this is only a first line of defense. We also excavate a small area under the crack creating a drywell a few gallons deep that water will eventually flow into and leach back into the soil. The drywell is filled with crushed stone and the concrete on top is replaced aside from a small gap at the base of the wall where the water is allowed to seep in. The crack is covered with a foam followed by a mold and mildew resistant layer on top. The foam creates a space between the wall and mold resistant layer where water can flow freely into the drywell in the event that the sealants begin to fail. The homeowner will never have to worry about puddles. They'll likely not even know whether the crack is leaking or not. The shop vac can now have a much needed break.
Waterproofing a Finished Basement in Haslett, MI
Our customer was experiencing water seeping into their basement where the floor and wall meet. The water coming has caused damage to the walls. After we waterproofed this customer’s basement we installed our Everlast Panels. Our Everlast Panels helped to cover up the damaged walls and make sure that any additional water that seeped through would drain to the WaterGuard system and goes into the Ultra Sump sump pump. The Ultra Sump sump pump will be pump any water that entered the basement.
