Insulating and Waterproofing a Lake Odessa MI Basement
Cristina and Bob wanted to waterproof their basement and put up some type of wall panels since their basement is only partially finished. We installed a perimeter drain system to connect with the sump pump, a dehumidifier to keep the space dry and filter the air, and also 2 different wall panels to keep the space dry and warm.
The WaterGuard Below Floor Drain collects water that leaks into the basement and sends it to the sump pump to be expelled outside the home. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is small in size so it doesn't take up much basement space. It helps to dry out the space as well as filters the air and has an automatic drainage so the water collects goes to the perimeter drain.
The BrightWall acts as a vapor barrier to keep out humidity and water vapor. It can also direct water seepage to the perimeter drain to keep it out of the home. By keeping the space dry, you protect your home from mold and rot. The Basement to Beautiful Wall Panels insulate the basement with our unique SilverGlo insulation. They also create a space between the cold foundation walls and the basement to avoid cold spots!
Messy Crawl Space Remedied with CleanSpace
The owners of this home on Gun Lake called us with a “huge water issue” and also stated that their crawl space was a mess. We helped clean up their crawl space with some new insulation and the addition of a CleanSpace liner. Applied over drainage matting, CleanSpace is fixed to the walls and covers the floor. It’s extremely durable and provides a barrier to moisture, allowing water to drain beneath the liner. CleanSpace not only keeps the crawl space dry, but makes it a clean and usable space, too.
Egress Window Installed in Elsie, MI Basement
This homeowner wanted to get an egress window installed in their basement in place of one of the smaller windows. This is a safe and smart idea as they plan to build a few bedrooms in the basement. Due to building code, if you have bedrooms in your basement you need to have two ways to escape in case of an emergency. The first one being the door and the second is usually a window large enough to climb out of. We were able to install a nice, large egress window in this basement. It's now ready for bedrooms to be added and lived in safely.
FlexiSpan Seals the Real Estate Deal in Middleville, MI
This Middleville, MI resident was in the process of preparing to sell her home when she gave us a call. Worried that water seepage through a small crack in her wall would hinder the sale, she sought us out looking for an effective solution that wouldn’t break the bank.
FlexiSpan was just the thing for her. The flexible polymer was plugged into the crack to create a durable seal that will hold back water. After the sealant was in place, a drainage layer was added in front of the seal. If any water should penetrate the first layer, it will flow down the wall behind the drainage layer and into the newly installed drainage system at the foot of the wall. Hopefully, the rest of this sale goes as smoothly as the installation of the FlexiSpan system.
Waterproofing a Stone Foundation in Middleville MI
Joe and his wife Laura have a stone foundation in their 1930's farm home. They are concerned because water is coming into the basement and the sump pump is not pumping it outside. We used the WaterGuard to collect the water as it came into the basement and send it to the sump pump. It is a perimeter drain but installed under the floor. The concrete is restored after installation so there is not an ugly drain in the basement. It installs quickly so it is not an inconvenience to get the issue fixed!
