The problems with this sump pump system began back in the spring when it was installed as a replacement. The owner was hoping that a new system would be the end of his crawl space troubles, but the sump continued to run after it had pumped all the water out. When the owner had someone come out to repair the pump, it resulted in the before photo.  Not only did the pump and liner come out of the original hole, the discharge line was also broken and sprayed water all over the pea stone ground. After the failure of a second sump pump system, the owner wanted a trusted system he could depend on and began researching sumps. When he found our sealed crock systems with backup pumps, he knew that his search had come to an end. The pump he chose to use in the after photo is our TripleSafe system with a twist. Instead of 3 pumps in the sump, the owner elected to remove the secondary ½ horsepower pump but kept the additional battery powered pump in case of power outages. This crawl space won’t have to worry about sump pump failure again. 

Brian and Rose love their cottage getaway, but to have water within their walkout basement is a terrible inconvenience. Vaughn required a new waterproofing system in his basement to keep his belongings dry. He searched around for the best options around and decided to choose Ayers. We then sent a crew to the home for a free inspection, from which we concluded he needed our WaterGuard System, SuperSump, and our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier. WaterGuard is a drainage system placed along the perimeter of the basement and in the subfloor to ensure water coming in through the walls is collected. The water will then be directed to the sump pump that we hook it to. Concrete is then poured over to conceal it as well. SuperSump is a horsepower cast-iron system that can pump 2200 gallons an hour at an 8-foot head. Lastly, SaniDry XP will create clean and dry air. It is ten times more powerful than your average dehumidifier. Vaughn was thrilled to have his basement properly waterproofed!

Our customer called with multiple cracks in his basement wall. There wasn't much water coming in, but there was some - and that's the right time to fix the crack. Otherwise, water will degrade the concrete as it continues to leak in, further widening the crack and letting even more water in, and so on and so forth.

We used FlexiSpan to seal the crack; FlexiSpan is a flexible sealant that moves with the crack as the wall naturally shifts, keeping it sealed. A small drain in the concrete below the crack keeps water directed away from the basement floor, and the basement stays dry.
