Leaking Water Eliminated from Eastport, MI, Home by TripleSafe Sump Pump

Mary realized she had an old sump pump that wasn't quite doing the trick. She needed to replace it, so she called Ayers to hear about our waterproofing solutions. The crew visited her home and recommended installing TripleSafe. This is a sump pump system equipped to avoid failure with a backup and a battery-powered pump that automatically turn on during pump or power failure. Mary is happy to have a fully functioning pump and a dry basement!

Flooded Basement in Boyne City, MI

So we got a heavy rain and you realize your basement is flooded. The first thing to do after you panic is to call us here at Ayers. We would be happy to send someone out to do a free inspection of your problem and get you a free estimate.

When a basement is flooded or damp the best thing to do is install a perimeter system to channel all the water that is coming in through the floors and walls. The next thing to do is find a way to get all of that water out of your basement/crawl space. A sump pump is the best option for this. We offer a few different types to suit everyone's needs. The pump pictured is our SuperSump. It comes with a sturdy liner with holes in it to accept the ground water. It next comes with an airtight lid to prevent the water from evaporating back into your basement because that's pretty contradictive if you ask us.  It also comes with a pump stand, a floor drain and the best part...a pump alarm. The alarm works in the emergency case that it can't keep up with the amount of water that's coming in. This allows you to do something before you have a bigger problem on your hands.

The original pump in the picture didn't have a lid to prevent evaporation and it was getting old. We replaced the sump pump and have a happy customer who is not enjoying a dry basement with their new SuperSump sump pump and WaterGuard system.

Leland Basement is Prepared to Fight Michigan Weather

One of our customers from Leland Michigan gave us a call. She said that her basement was collecting water and she needed help waterproofing it.  We drove to her home and knew just the solution, she did not have a sump pump so we hooked her up with the best one out there, the TripleSafe. TripleSafe is a sump pump with three different pumps in one liner. The first being the 1/3 hp zoeller pump which does most of the pumping and is placed at the bottom of the liner. The second is the 1/2 hp zoeller that is placed slightly higher than the first. This pump is more powerful but will only be turned on when needed. The final pump is the battery-operated UltraSump DC which is used in case of a power outage, this pump can pump up to 24,000 gallons of water.

For this project, we installed the SuperSump premier sump pump system. The SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

A Homeowner in Rogers City, MI Chose to Transform his Wet Basement into Beauty

Dusty K., from Rogers City, MI began experiencing water seepage where the wall meets the floor, in a section of his partially finished basement. This issue was leaving his entire basement covered in water. After receiving Dusty’s call for help, we examined the issues in his basement and recommended WaterGuard to remedy the problem. Installed along the home's footing, beneath the concrete, WaterGuard collects water along the base of the perimeter walls and safely directs it to a sump pump for removal from the home.

With Dusty not having a sump pump in his basement he realized the need for one and had a Super Sump installed. The Super Sump is a cost-effective sump pump system that contains an air tight lid, floor drain, pump stand, and a pump alarm. These are the essential features needed to help keep a basement dry. In an effort to transform the look of his basement, Dusty also elected for us to install BrightWall basement wall panels. These panels can easily transform damp, ugly basement walls into bright, beautiful walls that never need paint or other maintenance. To finish the beatification process, our friend chose MillCreek Basement Flooring. This product combines the beauty, texture, and classic appeal of a traditional hardwood floor with engineering made specifically for the basement environment. Thanks to this total installment Dusty’s basement is now dry; and more beautiful then we found it.
