Susan had a musty smell coming through the floors and knew something wasn't right. She decided to call Ayers, so we had a crew head over to the home for a free inspection of the problem area. From the inspection, our experts determined the smell was coming from the crawl space because she lacked proper encapsulation. CleanSpace will take care of this issue since this is a thick, waterproof plastic liner that has a vapor barrier. The barrier prevents the buildup of moisture that causes the musty smell of bacteria or mold. Regular tarps will not hold up or prevent mold without this vapor barrier CleanSpace utilizes. Our EverLast Door was also installed to keep outside air or critters out of the crawl space with its water seal. Now Susan can remain worry-free of these nasty smells!

We got a call about a home in Brooklyn, MI lacking proper encapsulation in the crawl space which was causing the home to be cold and drafty. We had a team of our experts head over to the home to give the homeowner Rose a proper solution. When your crawl space is only 36" high, you need those 36" to be as well kept as possible. It's difficult for you OR your hired contractors to get around in there (although we've worked in crawl spaces much smaller) so it's good to get things in order once and be confident they'll stay that way.

That's what we did here by installing the CleanSpace system with drainage matting and SilverGlo wall insulation. Now the crawl space is clean and dry and will stay that way.

Gabriella and Josh got their Dearborn, MI crawl space encapsulated by another company years ago. Drainage matting is a liner for the crawl space that is placed underneath the CleanSpace plastic liner. If the crawlspace ever floods, the dimpled mat allows water to pass underneath to the drain and sump pump. CleanSpace is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement and crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth.  Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home.
