Richard took the initiative to call the professionals here at Ayers when he noticed his home in Charlotte, MI was having water issues in his crawl space. When Richard realized this was a major issue he sent Ayers System Design Specialists out to assess the situation. It was determined our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was the best course of action. This CleanSpace System consists of a vapor moisture barrier that utilizes a thick plastic liner that runs along the basement and crawl space walls in order to keep them dry. This system will ensure your crawl space resists water leakage issues and will last for decades. 

The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was also determined necessary in this crawl space in order to remove excess moisture in the crawl space that could lead to potential damage. This system will not only protect against these water issues Richard was having, but also reduce how much it costs him to heat or cool his home. SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier removes water from the crawl space air and circulates the now dry air throughout the crawl space.

The customer called because their crawl space had all of the usual problems - smelly, damp, making the floors above it cold - but they were concerned that it was too small to really be able to fix it.

While it's true that the access point and crawl space were only about two feet high, that's plenty of room for us! Just make sure to let us know in advance and we will send one of our smaller guys. It was no problem to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier system and we even put a new, better door on the crawl space.

The sloping crawl space seen in the before photo was in need of an encapsulation, badly. The owners had already seen mold and standing water present. The white liner in the after photo is our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. As you can see, the barrier was used to cover the entire crawl space dirt floor and part way up the walls. For the rest of the walls, the crew used our SilverGlo Wall panels. The silver panels are insulation that reflects heat back to its source. By regulating moisture in the crawl space, this will help rid this home of its past mold problems.
