When Vanessa was looking at this house to purchase, the crawlspace left something to be desired. However, from being a previously satisfied Ayers customer, she knew Ayers can help her again with providing a nice & clean crawlspace for this new home. Having a Smart Sump installed, as well as Drainage Matting and Rim Joist Insulation to help keep the crawl space dry, clean and most importantly, free of water. 

John G. contacted us because he noticed a musty odor coming from his crawl space that was located under his sun porch. There was mold found in the space in the past, and the homeowner wanted to encapsulate the area and prevent further issues. The open vents and sand floor in the crawl space was allowing moisture to easily enter, which was the cause of the high humidity levels, musty smell and mold growth. We used the CleanSpace liner to fully encapsulate the space. The liner was waterproof and vapor proof, which prevented excess moisture from occupying the area. We also installed vent covers to create an airtight seal between the crawl space and the outside world. To insulate the space we installed FrothPak spray foam. This spray foam insulation doesn’t absorb ambient moisture like fiberglass insulation and is made of inorganic materials that will not lead to mold growth.

The homeowners noticed musty smells coming from their crawl space and leaking into their home. The floors were dirt and there was no sump pump in the crawl space to combat moisture.

The damp and humid environment in the homeowner's crawl space is the likely suspect of the musty smell. The CleanSpace encapsulation system covers the walls and floors with a thick, durable vapor barrier designed to permanently keep moisture, outside air, and unwanted pests out of your crawlspace. The CleanSpace system is bright white to keep your crawl space looking bright and clean! 

This crawl space was built in the 1920's and was showing some obvious signs of age and needed some fixing up. The dirt floor in this crawl space was allowing unwanted moisture in. The earth is damp which means when the earth is exposed in your home (mostly in crawl spaces), the damp soil dries into the house and the water vapor will move it upward to your living space. There is also water from the air since this crawl space has vented windows. Vented windows in a crawl space do more harm than good and they should be permanently sealed off

Having a wet or damp crawl space can have many different negative effects. These effects include: dust mites, sticking (swollen) doors and windows, smelly carpets, wood rot, increased utility bills, aggravated asthma/allergies and more. It's best to get a wet crawl space taken care of as soon as possible. 

To help with all of the moisture in this crawl space we installed our CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a very thick plastic liner that is fitted to your crawl space to completely seal it off from the earth. This system is also a very bright white color which dramatically transforms your crawl space. CleanSpace is made with an additive that won't allow the growth of mold, so you can have peace of mind that your crawl space is fixed once and for all. 

One of our customers called us about their crawlspace which was dirty and damp. They didn't know how to fix it so they wanted our professional help.  We gave them a free estimate and decided to install a combination of some of our fantastic products. We installed our SmartJack system which helps reinforce the floors above it so that they will never sag. The SmartJack is a support system used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. This system can support up to 60,000 pounds. The SmartJack system is placed on strong concrete fillings that have replaced the soil in that small location underneath the SmartJack.

We also installed some Clean Space which is the perfect mold fighting technology that also improves the look of any crawlspace. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. This liner was also combined with CleanSpace vent covers to insulate and seal the air out, so that the crawlspace is not affected by the outside environment. This will save the homeowner a lot of money on air conditioning and heating costs.
