We received a call from a concerned homeowner in Frankenmuth, MI who was dealing with a cracked foundation wall. This bowing block foundation wall needed a permanent fix, so we sent a crew for an inspection. Our System Design Specialists concluded from this inspection that CarbonArmor would prevent further wall bowing. CarbonArmor is made of carbon fiber straps that we strap to the wall to keep it from moving any further. These straps are ten times stronger than steel and are adhered to the wall using a strong epoxy resin. The system is secured to the wall with steel brackets, preventing the wall from shifting and cracking again!

The homeowner called us when he noticed that the support beams in his crawl space looked old and rotted. He wanted a solution before the problem got worse. This customer had a retaining block wall that was bowing inward. The block wall had multiple large cracks, once of which was a stair-step crack, which is a warning sign for potential wall failure.

We used the Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system to stabilize the wall and prevent it from bowing any further. Soil outside of the home was excavated in order to place a steel earth anchors deep in stable soil that will be strong enough to hold the wall in place. The earth anchors were then connected to the wall with a steel wall plates and secured into place with steel rods. Once installed, we tightened the system into place and the wall was immediately stabilized. The homeowner also received a tightening kit to continuously tighten the anchors as the wall shifts back to its proper position.
