Replacing DIY Supports in a Fennville, MI Home

Matts's crawlspace was in desperate need of reliable support. After calling Ayers and having an inspection done, the team at Ayers concluded the floor joist was sagging. Thus, SmartJacks were proposed as they would be the best option for Matt's home. The SmartJack system utilizes a load-bearing base that can withstand over 60,000 pounds! Once the bottom is set, steel columns are cut and attached to the floor joist and base. Once all of the SmartJacks were installed into Matt's home, the floor was raised, bringing permanent structural support to his home!

Replacing a Block Foundation Carson City, MI

Donald found his home's block foundation completely misaligned. The damage was so bad he called Ayers for an assessment. Our resident foreman Evan inspected the area and drafted a treatment plan.

Evan and his team installed SmartJack piers. SmartJack piers are metal beams placed strategically along the structure's supportive rim joist. The bottoms are anchored into the ground with poured concrete while the tops are capped with load-bearing joints that are attached to the rim joist. The entire pier's height is adjusted till there is constant pressure being applied, reintroducing support to the entire framework.

Ayers Fixes Fallen Carson City, MI Foundation

Donald and Meredith’s home was built in 1941. A foundation wall recently fell in, leaving a gaping hole in the side of their Carson City, MI house. The couple called Ayers Basement Systems for an inspection immediately. Our crew determined that they would need SmartJacks and Helical Piers to stabilize the foundation.

SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete. Helical Piers are made of steel helix-shaped blades that are screwed into the soil and the piers that can be extended to the appropriate depth. They're attached to the foundation’s footing, so the weight is evenly distributed and the home is permanently sturdy.

Donald and Meredith were ecstatic when we cleared out the old mess of a fallen wall and promptly stabilized their home. They can sleep soundly at night knowing this nightmare is over and they can go back to their lives with more peace of mind.

Ada, MI Basement with Failing Walls

We received a call from a customer in Ada, Michigan in regards to their basement walls. We then drove out to their home to give them a free estimate. We noticed that the basement walls were beginning to fail. So, we installed our PowerBrace system. PowerBrace is an adjustable vertical beam used to help correct uneven foundation. The PowerBrace is placed up against the walls. Foreman will come in and tighten them over time in homes. The Power Brace is much better than I-Beam styles because it continuously improves the wall. So now this homeowner will no longer have to worry about unsafe foundation any longer.

PowerBrace System Restored Failing Wall in Ada, MI

Brandyn D. had bowed block foundation walls in his basement that allowed moisture and water to seep in through the cracks. This led to mold issues in the basement and the homeowner was looking for a reliable solution. To stabilize the bowed walls and prevent them from shifting or cracking any further, we installed the PowerBrace system. This system held the wall in place and can potentially shift it back to its proper position over time. The steel braces were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attached to the joists above the wall. After being secured into place with steel brackets, the beams acted as a brace on the wall to prevent it from shifting out of place. Like dental braces, these braces can pull the wall back to its preferred position.
