This 80 year old home had foundation problems for a years but the problem was ignored. Eventually, the wall caved in. The good news is that it was fixable and we had a great solution for it. On the exterior, the wall was neatly built back up with blocks and sealed. On the interior, we used a product called Shotcrete to rebuild. Shotcrete is essentially concrete that is shot through a firehose at the wall and evenly applied. The structure is now strong and reliable once again. 

This Zeeland, MI home had a cracked and bowed basement foundation wall that was in need of proper stabilization. We used the effective PowerBrace system to hold the wall in place and potentially help pull the wall back to its proper position. The strong steel I-beams were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attacked to the joists above the wall to hold it in place. Once we tightened the system, the wall would no longer be able to shift and bow inward any further. We also provided the homeowners with a tightening kit that is used to continue tightening the system overtime to straighten the wall over time.

One customer in Zeeland, MI needed help with the foundation of their sagging floors. Previously, this home was using wood columns in the crawlspace to support the floor above it.  Wood columns will never do a great job at supporting the floor. They are not adjustable, they cannot support heavy loads, they are vulnerable to molding and rotting, and they do not provide a long-term solution. This is done by excavating a cube of soil where the SmartJack will be placed.  Then, this hole gets filled with a strong concrete, then the base for your SmartJack is ready and will not need to depend on weak foundation soil to hold your home up.
