One of Robert and Katheryn’s walls was leaning against their water heater. They were worried about their water heater and their bowing wall, so they called our team. We installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place and overtime it will straighten them. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.

Don and Nancy called us because the walls in their basement were cracking and literally getting ready to fall down. These walls were caving inward and needed serious attention. Our team of experts decided it would be best to use our Wall Anchors to bring the walls back to their original position over time. Wall anchors are one of the best options to fix a wall problem because they can fix very severe cracks/bowing, can be installed around obstacles such as pipes, its a quick installation and in the end, it restores property value. The only time someone would not be able to use wall anchors is if your house is very close to other people's houses because some digging on the outside of the home is required.

The Smart Jack system replaced the DIY "fix" of using wood blocks to maintain the structure of the home. In general, wood blocks are not a solution, they're a band aid that ignores the real problem.

This couple had just bought there home when they learned that the sagging floors were not mentioned during the home inspection. The floors on the main level of the home were all sagging, some bouncy due to lack of support below them. The new homeowners were concerned and needed help. We installed SmartJacks to stabilize and straighten the floors. The posts are made of steel so they will not rot and can be adjusted at any point to ensure a permanent solution for the home! 

Gloria has lived in her Sand Lake, MI home for about 40 years. She started to notice that several of the walls in her 100-year-old barn had begun to bow about 5 years ago. Recently, she noticed it’s gotten worse and was worried that barn would fall down while she was in Florida for the winter. 

She called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined that hydrostatic pressure was the main cause of the sever bowing walls. Hydrostatic pressure is a buildup of water pressure in the soil pushing against foundation walls. Years of this has caused the barn walls to collapse in on themselves, bowing the walls overtime. Our crew determined that she would need GeoLock Anchors to stabilize her barn for good. 

GeoLock Wall Anchors permanently stops foundational shifting. The anchors have 3 parts. The first part is a plate on the interior foundation wall. A steel cable is drilled through the plate into the soil directed away from the home. The final part of the GeoLock Anchor is a second plate that is anchored to the other side of the cable. The cables can be tightened overtime for continued maximum stabilization. 

Gloria was ecstatic with the work the Ayers crew did. We were able to help her stabilize the walls of her barn, and keep it standing for another 100 years!
