Cracked Foundation Prevents Sale of Altoona, WI Home
Doug S. in Altoona, WI was getting ready to sell his home, but he was concerned about the two cracked and bowing walls in his basement. He knew that if he did not repair the foundation, it would drastically reduce the value of the home. A friend recommended that he contact American Waterworks to help with his foundation problem, so he gave us a call for a FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, to his home to inspect his foundation walls and to provide him with a solution. Doug was pleased with the thorough proposal that Jeremy developed, so they scheduled the installation of our foundation repair system.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew installed 10 wall anchors total (5 on each cracked wall). They drilled holes through the brick walls and inserted long metal rods. Next, they secure the metal rod with plates on each end. Took a full day, but our wall anchors are backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Doug has peace of mind that he chose the right solution to protect the foundation of the home. He no longer has to be concerned about losing value on the home because he took the appropriate measures to prepare for putting it on the market.

Sinking Foundations Gets a Lift in Altoona, WI
Jeremy, from Altoona, WI, got in contact with us when he noticed a crack in the foundation of his home was worsening over time. He was afraid that if he didn't fix the issue, water would begin to enter through the crack, causing expensive damage to his home. When he contacted us, he used his FREE estimate, entitling him to a 3-hour thorough inspection by a member of our Sales team. Our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to inspect the damage and see how we could help Jeremy. Once Chuck completed his walkthrough, he recommended our helical piers to address the failing foundation. He explained that our helical piers have helical plates welded to the pier shaft, helping to pull the pier into the soil during installation and provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation or structural element is transferred to the pier. They have a great deal of versatility for stabilizing and restoring foundation or masonry elements. Chuck wanted to address any further structural issues with our GeoLock wall anchors. He told Jeremy that our GeoLock anchors are the ideal solution to permanently stabilize the foundation by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. Once installed, this system can be tightened over time if needed. Jeremy agreed to the proposed solution and work began shortly after. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew ended up installing 10 helical piers along the Northern part of the wall. The crew installed 5 GeoLock anchors along the same wall and finished the job by sealing the crack forming in the foundation to keep unwanted water out.
When the work was done, Jeremy was happy with the work we had done and was relieved to know that his foundation worries were a thing of the past!
GeoLock Wall Anchor Installation in Bangor, WI
Scott from Bangor, WI had severe cracks in his foundation and his basement walls were caving in, causing Scott to worry about the structural integrity of his barn. This issue with his foundation caused water to enter the farm's basement, making the soil wet and unstable for the barn. Scott then got in contact with the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus. Dustin went to his farm and did a thorough inspection and get a proper diagnosis of the situation to help Scott. Once the situation was carefully inspected, Dustin proposed that the solution for the damaged wall was the installation of our GeoLock Wall Anchors. Scott was confident in the proposal and scheduled an installation date right away.
Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production team then began the project by stabilizing the wall to prevent the wall from further caving in during the process of installation. The production crew then drilled 6 holes through the foundation into the hard-packed soil to install the six GeoLocks that are needed. At the end of each rod was a GeoLock Anchor which helps stabilize and straighten the foundation wall. Once the GeoLocks had been placed and secured, the production team then dug the soil to expose the exterior of the failing wall and be able to waterproof the failing wall to prevent water from seeping through. Once finished with this process. the production team then patched and sealed the cracks on the failing wall.
Scott was very satisfied with the work done and was not worried that the foundation of his barn would cave in!!
