Jason and Tena B. of Winona, MN had water leaking into their basement, and they were worried about the value of their home. One of their peers referred them to American Waterworks for our basement waterproofing repairs, so they called our office line and scheduled a FREE inspection. Our Design Specialist, Chuck, went to their home, clearly inspected the problems they were facing, and drew out a planned proposal to solve the problem. Jason and Tena were confident in Chuck's proposal, so they went ahead with the repairs and scheduled a date for the installation.

Our Foreman, Kiko, and his production team began the project by breaking out the entire wall perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Drain System. Our WaterGuard prevents water and mud clogs, serves as an underground drain, and catches water seepage from basement walls so it does not flood the floor. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace acts as an extra wall protectant by covering any holes or divots and preventing any further mold or humidity build-up. It also gives the basement a neat and clean appearance. To finish the project, Kiko and his team covered the open gaps with river rock and pea gravel and applied new concrete over them. Next, our crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. To complete the project, our team covered the peepholes with our one-foot-height of CleanSpace, which guides the water into the WaterGuard. To complete the installation, Hugo and his team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. A customer from Winona, MN got in contact with us when they began to notice unwanted water entering their basement. They didn't want the water to further damage the space, so they called into our office to see what could be done. They used their FREE estimate to have one of our Design Specialists, Mac, out to their property to assess the situation. Once he completed his thorough inspection, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help. Mac recommended the use of our WaterGuard french drainage system. He explained that this system inconspicuously sits below the concrete of the floor, catching any water entering the space and filtering it out to the appropriate disposal site, which Mac recommended to be our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical water disposal situation. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.

She claimed her FREE estimate, which entitled her to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Rick, headed to the property and began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the house and propose a proper solution. Upon inspection, Rick discussed solutions with Bethany. Along with waterproofing the basement, he found that she also should consider investing in our SmartJack system to stabilize the floors permanently. Foreman Cole and his crew headed out to the property and began implementing solutions. They started with our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The crew then broke out concrete to make a feed line. From there, our crew connected the existing sump pump to the feedline. Our crew filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Second, by using 13, 5-7' SmartJacks, 32 Joist Assist Brackets, and 60ft worth of  Supplemental Beam in the basement, the team permanently stabilized the floors. This solution also assists in waterproofing the home as it addresses mold and humidity issues while repairing your structural issue.
