The homeowner had noticed that the sump pump cycled very often, even in times when there was no precipitation. The final straw occurred when her town received heavy amounts of rain and her sump system didn't turn on, leaving her with a mess in her basement. First, Mac informed the homeowner he wanted to use our WaterGuard, a unique below-floor French drain that sits atop the footing of the home's foundation. This placement allows the drain to stay out of the "mud zone" where other drains of this nature tend to clog. It works to catch water entering through holes and cracks and the floor, giving it a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, Mac wanted to be our TripleSafe sump pump. This pump is the most reliable pump in our lineup, providing three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.
