Leaking Walls Waterproofed in Windom, MN
Due to a recent snowstorm in Windom, MN, the snow piled around the foundation of the home. Knowing the weather would warm up and cause all the snow to melt, the homeowner was concerned it would seep into their basement. The homeowner knew he should get his basement inspected to make sure it was prepared for all the water that would pool around the foundation. They soon contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.
In less than a week, our Design Specialist arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the basement. During the inspection, our Design Specialist tested the humidity levels and determined which areas in the foundation had water leaks. After reporting their findings to the homeowner, our Design Specialist began working on a detailed solution to waterproof the basement. Our Design Specialist recommended installing WaterGuard, our interior drainage system that directs water leaks to the sump pump system, CleanSpace, our vapor wall liner that prevents water vapor from permeating the walls, SuperSump+, our extremely reliable sump pump system capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge system that allows water to escape in freezing temperatures. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Gus R., arrived at the home for the installation. The crew successfully installed 26ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace, 1 SuperSump+, and 1 IceGuard.

Sump Pump Gets Transformation in Wheaton, MN
John from Wheaton, MN was beginning to suspect that his sump pump was in need of an update. He noticed that the system wasn't performing as it used to, and as a result, unwanted water was finding its way into the lower levels of his home. We set John up with our FREE estimate and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property to see what could be done. Wheaton, MN Water Woes Addressed
John, a homeowner in Wheaton, MN, needed a solution for his basement water issues. With heavy rainfall, water entered the basement where the floor and foundation meet, and egress windows were filling up with water. After looking around he went on the American Waterworks website and we set him up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian. Ian went to his home to inspect the leaks and devise a solution. John got all of his questions answered and was confident in Ian's proposal, so he moved forward with the project.
First, Foreman and his production crew started the installation by completing a half-wall demo and then breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System along the East wall of the basement where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, Zachary and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Are you having water problems in your basement? Next, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System was implemented in the basement. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. The TripleSafe Sump Pump also comes with a battery backup which helps when the home may lose power; the sump pump will still function and drain the excess water. To complete the project, the team covered the gaps with engineer fill, preventing soil from entering the Sump Basket and damaging the Pump System. Then they apply a new layer of concrete to give a finishing look. Finally, the team worked to fix the leaky basement windows with the WellDuct® Basement Window System to redirect flooding to a perimeter drain or drywell.
Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that his basement had been transformed and he no longer had to worry about water intrusion!
