It works to trap water entering through holes or cracks in the wall, directing it downward and into a perimeter, which, in this case, Daniel recommended to be our WaterGuard system. This unique French drain gets installed below the slab of the basement floor, atop the footing of the foundation, keeping it out of the 'mud zone' where similar drains tend to clog. This drain functions to collect water from the CleanSpace, as well as water coming up through holes or cracks in the floor, giving the water a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Daniel did notice that the basement lacked a means of expelling water, so he recommended the installation of our TripleSafe sump pump. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon specialist, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to minimal levels recommended by the EPA. The homeowner liked the sound of Kyle's plan and vowed to wait until the results returned to make a choice. When the results returned sometime later, the levels were way above the recommended 4 pCi/L, so the homeowner called Kyle to schedule a date for the system to be installed. 

Eventually, the day of the project rolled around. Our Foreman, Geno M, was able to lead his team through the installation of the system. Now, our customer can breathe a bit easier knowing her family is inhaling only the cleanest air possible.

Derek noticed the lack of drainage from the basement itself and urged the homeowner to add one because of the large amount of water entering the space. Derek recommended our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical solution.
