Cracked, Sunken Driveway Lifted in Calmar, IA

A homeowner in Calmar, IA, disliked the appearance of their cracked and uneven driveway. Knowing they could not solve the issues themselves, the homeowner began looking into driveway repair options in the area. The homeowner remembered that their annual maintenance appointment was coming up, so they made sure to mention their concrete issues. We sent one of our Service Technicians, Kyle, to the home to complete the annual inspection. After Kyle arrived, he inspected the previously installed waterproofing equipment in the basement. Once he completed his inspection, the homeowner showed him where their concrete was struggling. Kyle noticed that the sidewalk and driveway were suffering from settlement. To stop the sidewalk settlement from continuing, Kyle recommended lifting the sidewalk and driveway back to its original level. The homeowner agreed with Kyle's suggestions and the plans were sent to our Foreman, Sam, and his crew to begin the project. Sam and his crew traveled to the home and started by lifting the driveway and sidewalk using PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. After the driveway and sidewalk were lifted, the crew shifted their focus to filling and replacing the joints throughout the area. The crew used NexusPro Joint Sealant, a silicone-based sealant, to replace all the joints. After the joints were replaced, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. American Wateworks is happy to provide homeowners with the best service.

Concrete gets New Look in Willard, WI

In Willard, WI a homeowner was unhappy with the way the concrete of their porch area looked after many years of being worn down from outside elements. They decided to take action and fix the problem rather than leave it untouched for another summer. Having heard some recommendations and favor towards American Waterworks and their services, they decided to give us a call and learn more. They were pleased to discover our FREE estimate service that is offered to all customers and waited eagerly for their scheduled appointment. One of our Design Specialists, Charles Haldeman, arrived at the home to take a look at what could be done. He suggested to the homeowners that our PolyLevel and NexusPro products would be the best way to tackle the problem. He explained that PolyLevel is a high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete slabs. Additionally, the NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant that seals joints and cracks in the concrete slabs and helps prevent the water from softening and/or eroding the soil underneath. Once a plan was in place to move forward with the two products, one of our Foreman, Sam Klennert, and his crew left for the site to make the installations. A seamless installation led to a similarly seamless concrete porch area for the homeowners.

Sunken Driveway Gets Lifted in Winona, MN

A homeowner from Winona, MN, was dealing with a sunken driveway. Because the driveway had sunken so much, the homeowner would need to step on the gas to enter the garage and then immediately slam on the brakes to ensure they didn't hit the wall of the garage. No longer wanting to put up with this issue, the homeowner decided to take action. During an online search, he found our website and decided to claim his FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Will R, headed out to the home.

Once Will completed his inspection of the concrete, he informed the homeowner that we could fix the issue with the help of our PolyLevel concrete lifting method. Will explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion and slowly lift the slabs back into place. He went on to say that our lifts are completed with the application of our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets applied to the cracks and joints of the concrete and works to prevent debris or moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and work began a few weeks later.

On the day of the install, our Foreman, Troy, and his team completed the lift and seal with no issues. Now, our customer can enter his garage without worrying about a stressful situation!
