Scott from Bangor, WI had severe cracks in his foundation and his basement walls were caving in, causing Scott to worry about the structural integrity of his barn. This issue with his foundation caused water to enter the farm's basement, making the soil wet and unstable for the barn. Scott then got in contact with the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus. Dustin went to his farm and did a thorough inspection and get a proper diagnosis of the situation to help Scott. Once the situation was carefully inspected, Dustin proposed that the solution for the damaged wall was the installation of our GeoLock Wall Anchors. Scott was confident in the proposal and scheduled an installation date right away. 

Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production team then began the project by stabilizing the wall to prevent the wall from further caving in during the process of installation. The production crew then drilled 6 holes through the foundation into the hard-packed soil to install the six GeoLocks that are needed. At the end of each rod was a GeoLock Anchor which helps stabilize and straighten the foundation wall. Once the GeoLocks had been placed and secured, the production team then dug the soil to expose the exterior of the failing wall and be able to waterproof the failing wall to prevent water from seeping through. Once finished with this process. the production team then patched and sealed the cracks on the failing wall. 

Scott was very satisfied with the work done and was not worried that the foundation of his barn would cave in!!

Ryan B. of Stoddard, WI had a crack in his foundation wall, causing him to worry about the stability of his home. He called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE inspection with our Design Specialist, Rick. Rick went to Ryan's home, carefully examined his foundation wall, and drew up a solution that worked for him and his home repair needs. He was confident in Rick's proposal of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System, so he followed through with the project and got an installation date scheduled. 

Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his production manager began the project by digging small holes outside the home, beyond the foundation. From the interior foundation, Tremaine and his crew inserted a long, steel rod through to each hole outside of the home. At the ends of each rod, our crew installed an anchor and a wall plate which provides the pressure to make the system work. Our anchors extend out to the hard-packed soil, anchoring themselves and bracing the foundation wall, which stops inward movement. Over time, our anchors can be tightened by the homeowner to ensure the system is sticking to its design. To complete the installation, Tremaine and his team backfilled each hole, compacted the soil, and ensured the outdoor space was neater than when they found it.

A homeowner in Stoddard, WI, knew it was about time to schedule their annual maintenance appointment. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the maintenance appointment was set, we sent one of our Service Technicians, Kyle, to the home. Upon arrival, Kyle introduced himself to the homeowners and began his inspection. During his inspection, Kyle discovered that there was a slight separation between the cinder blocks. Kyle alerted the homeowner that this could lead to larger issues if not solved. Additionally, Kyle recommended that this wall be permanently stabilized to prevent further damage. A customer from La Crosse, WI got in touch with us when they began to notice that their basement wall was beginning to show the first signs of wall failure. Our customer knew that if she left the issue unresolved, she would run the risk of severely compromising the structural integrity of the home. When she called in, she used her FREE estimate to have our Design Specialist, Rick W. out to her property to do a thorough inspection of the issue. After Rick completed his walkthrough, he was able to make some recommendations as to how we could help. He recommended our GeoLock Channel Anchor system to fix the wall. He explained that this warrantied solution includes a complete wall anchor system and a channel anchor that mounts on your foundation floor and wall for optimal bracing and failure protection, by connecting to an earth anchor embedded deep in the soil.
