Front Sidewalk Lifted in Rochester, MN

In Rochester, MN a homeowner was enjoying the warm spring weather and planning out the landscaping that he wanted done in his front yard area. As he made his way through the plans, something caught his eye. The front sidewalk area had sunken very low and created a large gap in height in comparison to the front step. He wanted to find a solution to the problem and get it fixed sooner than later to prevent it from sinking more. The homeowner knew his neighbor had recently gotten a sidewalk area lifted by American Waterworks and they did an efficient job. He figured he would look us up and schedule a FREE estimate appointment first to talk through things with an expert. Design Specialist Tony Bach arrived at the home to carry out the inspection. Tony knew what the best solution would be: using PolyLevel to lift the sidewalk back to its original height and be level again with the front step. The homeowner agreed to the plans and preparations began to carry out the installation. We sent one of our Foreman, Domanik Adams, along with his crew to the site where they installed the PolyLevel. After the crew made sure everything was even again, they cleaned up the area and left the site in perfect condition. The homeowner was very happy with our services and was eager to share the results with his friends and family.

Sinking Concrete Slab Gets Fixed in Rochester, MN

A homeowner from Rochester, MN, had been watching her concrete patio for a few years. She had noticed that the slab had begun sinking, and the sinking had become so bad she was seeing a trip hazard forming. She didn't want anyone to take an unnecessary tumble, so she reached out to American Waterworks to see what could be done. We set her up with our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Jesse, headed out to the home.

Once Jesse concluded his inspection, he met with the homeowner and informed her that we could help with the issue by using our PolyLevel lifting and leveling method. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. He went on to say that we protect our lift by installing our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete to ensure nothing can permeate the slab, compromising the soil below. The homeowner agreed and a few weeks later the work began.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Troy, and his team were able to lift the concrete, successfully eliminating the pesky trip hazard, and restoring safety. Now our customer can feel confident in the ground beneath her feet!
