Crawl Space SmartJack Installation in Farmington, MN

Joe of Farmington, MN, got in contact with us when he began to notice his stone foundation crawl space was beginning to sag. Joe knew that if he left the problem unresolved, it could cause further structural damage to the home and possibly cost much more down the road. When Joe contacted us, we set him up with our FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Dylan, was able to get out to the property to do a thorough inspection and once he had finished, he was able to make recommendations about how we could help Joe fix the issue. Dylan recommended Joe used our SmartJack crawl space support system. This system is unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel so rusting isn't a worry. This means your SmartJack system can be tightened for years to come. Joe agreed with Dylan's recommendations and renovations began soon after. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew ended up strategically placing 5 SmartJacks in the crawl space of Joe's home. The installation was quick to complete. Once the job was done, Joe was relieved to know that his foundation worries were in the past.

Crawl Space Stabilized in Farmington, MN

A homeowner in Farmington, MN, wanted to have a professional come to their home and inspect their crawl space. Unsure of which company to go with, the homeowner began asking their neighbors to see which company was best fit for their situation. Many of their neighbors raved about us, American Waterworks, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate appointment was created, we sent out our Design Specialist, Ryan, to inspect the crawl space. Following his in-depth inspection, Ryan determined that the crawl space walls required permanent stabilization. Ryan proposed a recommended solution to the homeowner that would solve their issue and allow them to straighten the walls over time. The homeowners agreed with Ryan's recommendations and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our crew arrived at the home and began the stabilization process. The crew installed eight GeoLock anchors on the crawl space walls for stabilization. GeoLocks are a foundation wall anchor system that is designed with galvanized steel. In addition to installing the GeoLocks, the homeowner asked to have the straightening kit included as well. The straightening kit will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. After the crew successfully installed the GeoLocks, they were able to clean up their site and leave the home. The homeowner was relieved to know that their crawl space walls were properly stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to provide another customer peace of mind.

Faulty Foundation Transformed in Waseca, MN

A homeowner from Waseca, MN, had been keeping an eye on his home's foundation for years now. Small cracks had slowly been forming over the years. The homeowner was slowly growing more and more concerned about the issue and decided to address the problem. He began to look for foundation repair companies in Minnesota and quickly found our website. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, was scheduled to stop at the home.

When Eric arrived at the property, he got right to work assessing the basement. The homeowner's concerns were quickly validated, as Eric explained that foundation walls are designed to withstand pressure from the top, not the sides. He went on to say that when side pressure on a wall exceeds what the wall can withstand, cracking, bowing, and tilting inward can occur. For this reason, Eric wanted to use our GeoLock wall anchors to fix the problem. Eric explained that GeoLock anchors counteract the pressure being put on the wall by anchoring the failing wall to the undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. In many instances, these anchors can be tightened as time goes on to give the home more stability as it continues to settle. The homeowner was thrilled with Eric's solution and signed on the spot.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Raul B, led his team through the installation of 13 of our GeoLock anchors around the foundation of the home. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his foundation issues have been conquered!
