Our Foreman, Raul A., and his team installed our WaterGuard and Foamax Wall Panels. Our WaterGuard is an underground drain that leads to the sump pump, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. Our Foamax is special insulation that keeps the basement dry, warm, and saves money on energy costs. He got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a no-obligation, FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac. Mac went to Travis's house, carefully inspected his basement, and determined a plan that would work for Travis and his home repair needs. Mac proposed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, Egress Window, and PowerBraces. Travis was confident in our products and their warranties, so he went ahead with the installation set up a date. 

Our Foreman, Dylon, and his production crew began the installation by installing our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which is a special underground drain that prevents mud clogs and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter, which is designed to prevent mold and mildew, save money on energy costs, and give the basement a bright appearance. Then, Dylon and his team installed our Egress Window, which gives the basement brightness, allows for an easy exit out of the basement, and it makes space feel larger. Lastly, our crew installed our PowerBraces, which is designed to repair and stabilize foundation walls over time. A homeowner from Stanley, WI, was dealing with a leaky, musty basement room. Each time it rained, it seemed more damage was slowly done to the room. The homeowner decided it was time to fix the issue, so he took to the internet and searched "leaky basement repairs near me". During his deep dive into local businesses, he came across our website. He was impressed with our years of service and before and after image sets and decided to sign up for one of our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, one of our Design Specialists headed out to the home to see what could be done. 

Once our Design Specialist completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, our Design Specialist recommended the use of our CleanSpace. He explained that CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that's perfect for unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace installs quickly, with most installations taking a day or less. Once the installation is complete, your basement will be ready to use immediately. He explained that this system works to trap water entering through the walls, directing it downward to a perimeter drain, which in this case, our Design Specialist recommended to be our WaterGuard drain. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. This drain works to catch water entering from the CleanSpace above, as well as any water coming up through cracks in the floor. It gives this water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, is a previously placed sump pump. The homeowner liked the sound of our Design Specialist's plan and scheduled the work for several weeks later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Edgar C, and his team were able to complete the work in no time. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement knowing his water intrusion issue has been solved! 

A homeowner in Tomah, WI noticed seapage through their drywall and called American Waterworks to investigate the issue.  After a thorough analysis Tom noticed a crack in the homeowner's foundation that was causing the leak.  American Waterworks was able to install The FlexiSpan system in which seals the wall crack as a first line of defense.   But if any water should leak through the crack, a hidden, foam-lined channel transports this leakage to the waterproofing system.  Peace of mind for a lifetime!
