Charlene T. in Ferryville, WI came across our booth at the Midwest Farm Show in La Crosse, WI. She was concerned about the moisture in her dirt-floor crawl space. She felt like she was losing energy from that space, so she spoke with our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, who was at the show and learned about our crawl space encapsulation services. Dylan set up an appointment with Charlene and went to her home to evaluate the situation and design the best solution. 

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production team installed a full perimeter of rim joist insulation which seals the rim joists and lowers Charlene’s energy costs. They also installed our crawl space vapor barrier which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. The combination of these encapsulation products turned the crawl space into a dry, clean and energy efficient part of the house. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Charlene now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space and is saving money on her energy bill each month.

Joe E. of Strum, WI had water leaking into his crawl space, causing mold and water moisture problems. He saw an American Waterworks commercial on television regarding crawl space waterproofing, so he called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus. Dustin went to his home, inspected his crawl space, and came up with a solution that fit his needs. He was confident in Dustin's proposal, so he went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team began the project by installing 2,175 square feet of drainage matting. The purpose for the drainage matting is to provide extra durability and larger drain channels to handle the job. It directs the water that is flooding the crawl space to the perimeter crawl space drain and the sump pump system. Next, our team installed 3,011 square feet of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate the crawl space. This moisture barrier is the most crucial component of crawl space waterproofing. By sealing the crawl space, homeowners keep away odors, termites, cockroaches, ants, crickets, rats, and many other pests.

A homeowner in West Salem, WI, noticed a musty odor throughout their home. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner looked into "causes of musty odor in homes". Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Will, to the home to take a closer look at the crawl space. Will promptly arrived and began his detailed investigation of the crawl space. After he completed the inspection, Will determined the entire space needed to be encapsulated. Will presented his proposal to the homeowners and they decided to go along with the plan. Next, Will passed the proposal to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team scheduled the project for the following weeks. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Lane, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Lane and his crew made sure the space was cleared for the installation. Next, Lane and his crew installed Drainage Matting on the basement floor. Once the Drainage Matting was secured, Lane and his team attached CleanSpace to the crawl space walls and floors. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to repair its customer's damaged crawl spaces. 

Gerald L. had a damp and musty crawl space. He was concerned about the air quality in his home and he was frustrated that he was losing energy through that space. While attending a local home show, Gerald visited our booth and spoke to one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole. Mac assured him that we could solve his crawl space problem, so they set a time for Mac to provide Gerald with a free onsite inspection. Mac developed a thorough plan to permanently waterproof and encapsulate Gerald's crawl space. Gerald liked his proposal and felt we were a good fit for him, so he scheduled the installation.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew removed the debris and installed a SmartSump sump pump, drainage matting, TerraBlock, SilverGlo and CleanSpace. They also sprayed our foam insulation along the rim joists to finising sealing the crawl space from the outside and installed a dehumidifier in the crawl space to get rid of the musty smell and humidity. The combination of these waterproofing products created a clean, dry, and energy efficient space. We were able to ensure that Gerald’s crawl space would permanently be protected from water seeping in. Gerald is glad he chose to protect his home for the long-term.
