In order to get to the block foundation, we had to remove the drywall. We excavated the soil around the sides of the home with the bowing walls. This helps up straighten the walls back to their original position. Then we drilled small holes through the block foundation walls into the soil. We inserted long metal rods, and once the rods were in place, we secured each end with anchor plates. We tightened the anchors as far as they could go, and the wall started to straighten. Dean's basement walls have been permanently stabilized with the installation of the wall anchors. He is glad he chose to protect the foundation of his home.

A homeowner in Albany, MN, discovered a large horizontal crack along the west wall. Knowing that it was not a good sign, the homeowner looked for a second opinion.
