A customer in Annandale, MN, was enjoying the summer on the lake but noticed their boat house walls were cracking. Wanting to save the structure, the customer searched for a solution. After seeing the excellent work we have done in their area, the customer decided to work with us. After signing up for their FREE estimate on our website, the customer prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Shane. Once Shane arrived, he began the inspection of the boat house. After his in-depth inspection, Shane determined that the walls required permanent stabilization. The customer agreed to Shane's suggestions and the job preparation began. Our Foreman, Arturo, and his crew were assigned to the job. After they arrived, the crew began by installing eight PowerBraces on the west and east boat house walls. After the PowerBraces were installed, the crew provided the customer with a tightening kit. This kit allows the walls to straighten over time. The homeowners were pleased with the crew's swift and excellent installation. American Waterworks is happy to assist another customer. 

Dan and Nancy M. of Plymouth, IA had a bowing retaining timber wall, causing them to worry about the value of their home and property. They went on our website and came across our foundation repair products, where he learned that we would be able to fix his issue. He set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ryan. Our Foreman and his crew began the installation by putting block wood over the cracked foundation and inserting five long, metal rods into the wall and tightening and screwing a wall anchor to each rod. This system stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed soil beyond the foundation. After the installation, the wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the wall and pull it back to its original position. 

Dan and Nancy were happy with the work that was completed and couldn't believe the transformation from start to finish!

A homeowner from Kilkenny, MN, was down in her basement one day when she noticed a crack she hadn't seen before. The crack resembled a staircase and ran up the length of the wall. Upon further investigation, the homeowner was alarmed to find several of the same cracks on that wall. Fearing what a cracking foundation could mean for her home, she decided to find a company that could shed some light on the issue. One night, she saw our TV ad and decided to get in touch. She scheduled her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, headed out to the home. 

Eric got right to work conducting his inspection. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Eric explained that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt inward at the top. Eric's recommendation, our GeoLock wall anchors, can counteract soil pressure by anchoring walls to stable, undisturbed soil outside the home. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall, wall anchors can even be used to straighten walls in many cases. The homeowner liked the sound of Eric's plan and scheduled the installation for some time later. 

On the day of the installation, our production team, led by their Foreman, Juan P, ended up installing 5 of our GeoLock anchors along the problem wall. Now, our customer can enjoy her basement knowing she conquered her foundation cracks!
