Deteriorating Wall Repaired in Fargo, ND
Patricia M. of Fargo, ND had a deteriorating foundation wall, causing her to worry about the structural build and stability of her home, and even living in her home. She got in contact with our office staff at American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to her home, carefully inspected her problems, and came up with a solution that worked for her and her foundation repair needs. She was confident in Ian's proposal, so she went ahead with the project and got a date scheduled for the installation.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his crew began the installation by picking up all the rock and debris off the basement floor and hauling it to their truck. Next, our crew installed 58 feet of our ShotLock Wall Restoration System which is a fast alternative to demolishing and rebuilding a deteriorating foundation. It restores the safety and property value with minimal disturbance to the home and its surroundings and it is twice as strong as standard concrete. The installation took about three days and Patricia could not believe the transformation from start to finish!

Inward Bowing Walls Repaired in Fargo, ND
Joe and Janessa D. of Fargo, ND had bowing walls in their basement, making them worry about the structural build and stability of their house. They knew of our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz, so they talked to him about coming out to their home for a FREE estimate. Ian went to their house, carefully inspected their walls, and drew up the solution of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System. Joe and Janessa felt confident in the videos, pictures, and graphics of the product that Ian showed them, so they went ahead and signed Ian's contract and wrote out a deposit check.
Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team started the installation by digging holes outside of the home beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the interior foundation to each hole outside of the home. At the end of each rod in the soil, our team installed an anchor plate, which provides the pressure against the inside of the foundation wall. Next, from the interior foundation, our team installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor to the end of each rod to stabilize the foundation wall and pull it back into its normal position. Over time, the homeowner can tighten the anchors to ensure that the system is working properly. To finish the installation, Corey and his crew backfilled each hole outside of the home, compacted the soil, and ensured the yard looked neat and cleaned up.

Failing Cart Bridge Lifted Up in Fertile, MN
Jeff, of Fertile, MN, reached out for support with the local golf course, Sandhill River Golf Course. A 16ft. wide cart bridge on the course needed support, as the soil beneath was settling and the bridge was becoming unsafe. Design Specialist Richie went to take a look at the issue after Jeff contacted us for a FREE estimate. After a thorough examination, Richie recommended that Jeff and the club invest in helical deck piers. These plates use proven structural engineering technology proven for years to repair damaged foundations and overcome problems caused by weak and unstable soil conditions. Weak or unstable soil close to the surface isn't a problem because piers can be driven to reach strong, stable soil at greater depths. Jeff was happy with the proposal, and we got to work!
Foreman Jose and his crew installed 4 of our Helical Piers, designed to create a solid supporting base that transfers the structure's weight downwards to strong supporting soils. The helical-shaped plates on the shank of a helical pier are engineered so that the pier can be turned into the ground like a giant screw. Rotational resistance is measured as the pier is installed to ensure that the pier is solidly anchored in the soil. Our helical piers were installed to lift the bridge back to its original position. The team mechanically screwed sections of the helical pier into the soil. Once the pier met its depths, our crew installed foundation brackets below the footing. The weight of the bridge was able to transfer through the helical pier to deep soils. Lastly, Jose and his crew replaced the soil to make sure the space looked neater than when they found it.
