Homeowners of this property were looking into selling their property, but upon inspection, their realtor notified them that the cracked and bowing walls in their basement foundation would need to be repaired before going on the market. Foreman Osia Williams led the installation of this project with his team, and together they successfully installed 10 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Brackets at the top of each I-beam have the ability to be tightened by the homeowners or DBS professionals over time in order to correct bowing in walls and prevent additional cracking.

Now that the home has been permanently stabilized, the owners can relax knowing that they will be able to sell the property with no concerns about the integrity of the foundation. The next family to move-in will also have peace of mind because there is a 25-year transferrable warranty for the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System solution.

Helical Pier Used for Cantilever

A homeowner in Duluth, MN reached out to us when they were trying to sell their house, but, were facing the challenge of an unstable deck post for their cantilever. Eager to ensure their home was ready for a future sale, they sought to put an end to the temporary fix of piling insulation for stability. When our team went out to the property, we recommended the installation of a Helical Pier, as depicted in the photo gallery. This process not only stabilized their cantilever effectively but also permanently removed the worry of future movement. 

Wall Cracked from Weight of Chimney Stabilized with DBS PowerBrace™ I-beams

The owner of this home in Hermantown, MN noticed cracking in the wall below where their chimney rests. They were referred to DBS by a friend and reached out in hopes that we could stabilize the wall for them.

Design Specialist Jacob Nustad went to the home to run a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. After a thorough inspection, Jacob informed the homeowner that DBS has a system solution that would solve their issue.

Foreman Trevor Ingle led the installation for this project with assistance from a crew. Together they permanently stabilized the wall by installing 3 PowerBrace™ I-beams by securing each top bracket to the rim joists and bolting the bottom plates to the basement floor. Over time the PowerBrace™ brackets can be tightened during dry periods in an attempt to move the wall back to its original position.

Now that the wall has been permanently stabilized, the homeowner will be able to relax much more comfortably with peace of mind from worrying about a failing wall.
