This recently purchased cabin in Tofte, MN was built in the 1920s and in need of structural repair. The owner was hoping to use this space as a vacation home and potential rental down the line. The DBS repair crew installed a supplemental beam steel beam to ensure the cabin is properly supported for years to come. Beneath the existing supports and new steel I-beam, we placed 7 SmartJacks. These telescoping support beams have steel footings and can be hand adjusted to support natural settling due to soil movement throughout the years.
