NexusPro® / PolyLevel® Injections in London, Ontario
This home in London, Ontario, had a driveway and walkway composed of concrete slabs. Over time, these slabs tend to shift due to soil erosion and in most cases pull away from the home, leaving the home's foundation exposed and vulnerable. The homeowners were worried that water would protrude into the foundation causing leaking or more shifting would occur causing dangerous tripping hazards. This had to be fixed as soon as possible. The homeowners were worried that they'd have to rip up the slabs and replace them with new ones. Thankfully they came across Canadian Concrete Leveling that can lift the concrete slabs without having the homeowners pay a hefty price tag for new ones.
Our Project Manager, Andy Moncreiff, arrived on the site to run some schematics on how our team can fix the problem permanently. On a later day our installation specialist, Kyle McKeown, came in to start the work. He will be injecting the slabs with our high-density polyurethane, called PolyLevel®, to lift the slabs back to their original position safely. Following up would be the application of our durable sealant called NexusPro®, which will be applied to the floor-to-wall joint of the slabs to prevent foundation integrity loss. Thankfully the process only took one day and to be even exact, took under 15 minutes to complete. The polyurethane cures almost immediately and the NexusPro® is active once applied.
The owners were thrilled by the result and knew the extra layer of safety their home has now from the elements and tripping hazards. With the tremendous cleanup and speedy process, the owners were happy throughout their experience with Canadian Concrete Leveling.
Tripping up on Liabilities
Here in London, Ontario, one of the local community centers was experiencing an alarming sidewalk. Various slabs were lifted and pivoted, which enabled many tripping hazards. Our clients were at unease when they found out their unlevelled sidewalk could hold them liable for any accidents ahead. Leave it to our experienced Project Manager Andy Moncrieff to show you what he can do.
Polylevel is a technology we, at Canada Concrete Leveling, stand by. With simple dime hole injections, you will hardly ever tell a timeless and cost-efficient job has been done. Installation experts Kyle and Brandon decided to inject each edge with Polylevel allowing the concrete slabs to be wise and rise without compromising existing foot traffic. With little to no wait time, Polylevel cures in 60 minutes versus the standard 24-72 hours! See you later potential liabilities.
PolyLevel® Injection for Community Centre in London, ON
Our clients of a community center located in London, Ontario, had walkways that happened to be uneven. These concrete slabs caused many tripping and pooling hazards for the daily foot traffic of employees and the public. In the colder days of the years, the pooling became slipping ice issues. The problem had to be fixed as soon as possible before more soil erosion occurred, leading to more shifting. Andy Moncrieff assessed the area and wanted installation foreman Kyle McKeown to inject our high-density polyurethane in the sinking points to lift them to their original state. The poly, known as PolyLevel®, was injected, leaving the concrete usable almost immediately. The community center was thrilled with the minimal invasion done to the concrete and how it didn't disrupt the foot traffic!
Stair and Side Walkway Lift, Stratford Ontario
In Stratford, Ontario, this home had a secret tripping hazard with snow covering it. The home front step had a sinking issue causing the stair to appear more prominent. During the winter seasons, this enlarged gap in the step was covered, so they would underestimate their footing and trip forward when guests came over. Moving on to the side of the driveway, the side walkway was composed of concrete slabs that have misaligned and staggered in height over time. The side walkway was another tripping hazard when getting in or out of vehicles or walking the driveway.
Canadian Concrete Leveling provided a non-invasive, fast, and permanent fix. This intrigued the homeowners since they knew they did not have to gut the entire concrete and replace the front section and walkway. Instead, polyLevel® Injections were made to the lower point closer to the step to lift the concrete to a safe height. The side walkway had multiple injections of our PolyLevel® to ensure all slabs were in unison. The process took under half an hour to complete, from start to finish, and the homeowners were very pleased with our work. Leaving all hidden and visible tripping hazards at bay, the owners and guests will have more confidence when roaming the property.
PolyLevel® Injections for Garage and Garage Side Entrance, Wellesley Ontario
A home in Wellesley, Ontario, had a couple of sinking spots. One being the garage threshold and another being the doorsill on the side entryway. The concrete driveway started sinking, causing a lip just before entering the garage. The lip made it challenging for the homeowners to drive in and out of the garage. Going in caused thecae to stop, and once more gas was given, the car would then jolt forward out of control into the garage. Leaving would cause the vehicle to increase speed out of the garage, which can be difficult in winter. Moving to the side entrance, the concrete just outside the doorsill had lowered, leaving a larger step coming into the garage and a tripping hazard for the darker hours of the day. Coming out of the garage is just the same, not necessarily a tripping hazard, but a bigger step-down, which can cause imbalance.
Canadian Concrete Leveling was called to fix the solution at a costly rate permanently and not have to replace the whole driveway or side walkway. Our Project Manager Andy Moncrieff came to the home to see what needed to be done. He wanted to use our PolyLevel high-density polyurethane at the lowest points to lift the concrete to its original position. The following day, our Installation Specialist Kyle McKeown proceeded with the PolyLevel®, which only took under fifteen minutes to set up, inject the polyurethane, cure, and clean up, making the homeowners happy with the overall service.
