Tucked away in scenic Hampstead, QC, a homeowner faced the chill of a cold crawl space– a common dilemma that disrupts comfort and energy efficiency. Before our intervention, as visible in the photo, the space was bare and unwelcoming. However, transforming a hassle into harmonious living is our forte. By administering our CleanSpace and SilverGlo solutions, we encapsulated and insulated the area, evident in the after photo. Our client had a humidity problem in his crawl space. It was so strong that even the joists of the house began to weaken. In order to solve the problem at source, we installed two insulation membranes for the crawl space.

A Drainage Matting to evacuate the water that evaporates from the ground to a sump pump specially designed for crawl spaces. Another membrane (CleanSpace) is placed in order to insulate the crawl space and prevent water vapor from spreading. This membrane reduces humidity in the crawl space and protects the house from mold increasing.

Our client who lives in Laval contacted our company and asked us to inspect her crawl space after she had seen our work on her neighbor's house.

During our team inspection, our specialist Jerry found many areas where mold had been growing in addition to extreme moisture. So he suggested the installation of our CleanSpace system that will be sealed to separate the house from the ground. An antimicrobial ingredient is present in the vapor barrier to prevent bacteria from reproducing.

Our client was very happy with the work done and can now rest easy knowing there is no more mold or moisture under her home!

Our client complained about a cold and wet crawl space. He felt his floors were very cold and smelled unpleasantly damp. The crawl space was very poorly insulated, cold and humid.

The difficulty our experts faced was isolating an uneven ground. Rigid and inflexible insulation could not have worked there. Our experts installed our 3/4 inch TerraBlock insulation sheets. These sheets are placed on the ground and mold to the ground and allow the crawl space to be isolated. To finalize it,  they coated the TerraBlock with our 20ml thick CleanSpace coating. It is made of a high density polyethylene blend for flexibility and strong strength. The white finish brightens the crawl space and makes it clean.

Thanks to this solution, our client will no longer have cold floors and no foul odor. It will have a dry and clean crawl space!
