Fixing humidity problems and unstable foundation in a crawl space in Verdun, Qc

The floor of Mr. Hudson's house had been sagging for a long time. It was no longer straight and our client was having too much difficulty closing the doors and windows. There was high humidity in the crawl space.

Solution

Reinforce the structure of the house with our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars. Insulate and encapsulate the crawl space to reduce humidity and make it a storage space. The space will be drier and the air healthier.

Encapsulation of a crawl space in Bois-Des-Filions, Qc

The problem:

This Bois-des-Filion customer contacted us so that we could solve his mold problem in his crawl space. This is caused by the high humidity in it. In addition, there was a lot of wood which was rotten and it was necessary to act quickly so that the problem does not get worst.

The solution :

One of our certified specialists visited his crawl space and suggested that we need to first remove the mold that was present with our Mold X product. Subsequently, our foreman installed a drainage membrane to facilitate the flow of water.

Following this, we encapsulated this crawl space with our CleanSpace membrane, this membrane mainly serves to prevent water vapor from coming out of the ground and going up to the upper floors. When everything was finished and to maximize the efficiency of the CleanSpace system, our specialist installed our product Sedona SandiDry, which is a high performance dehumidifier. Its goal is to dry out your crawl space as much as possible and reduce the humidity level as much as possible.

Since our intervention, this client from Bois-des-Filion now benefits from a dry crawl space without mold.

Crawl space encapsulation in Montreal, Qc

Problem

Ms. Wilberg had a wet crawl space with water seepage. Moisture comes from the earthen floor, but also from the concrete foundation walls.

Solution

We installed a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace vapor barrier. The drainage membrane creates a drainage space below the Cleanspace to direct surface water to the customer's sump pump system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick coating that acts as a vapor barrier. It insulates the floor of the house by blocking out moisture.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in SouthWest, Montreal

One of our clients in Montreal called to have her crawl space encapsulated.

The insulation helped solve many issues the client had and had improved the home comfort, healthfulness, energy efficiency and value of the house by insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the Crawl Space clean and letting her use the crawlspace as an additional storage room.

This picture shows the end result of our work, where you can see the big difference between an encapsulated and insulated Crawl Space, and many earth crawl spaces you can find in Quebec.
