This home in South Boston, VA was experiencing bowing walls in their basement. They also had some issues with moisture getting into the area through that wall. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed our Geo Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize the walls, we also added our Clean Space liners to keep out any moisture or water vapor. 

This returning customer was experiencing uneven floors in her home, and also had a crack in the hallway wall. Several years ago, we installed a SmartJack System in her crawlspace, and since she had a positive experience working with us in the past, and trusted us again with her home for this project. After our System Designer, Troy King, went out to have a look at what the cause may be, he discovered that some of the original wooden joists in her crawlspace were now rotting, causing her floors to be uneven and walls to begin cracking. Troy created a custom solution for her crawlspace that would not only fix the rotting joists, but also keep her crawlspace dry for years to come! Later, Foreman Warren used pressure treated lumber for the full joists, and CleanSpace vapor barrier and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the space clean, dry, and pest free! Now her home is stable and dry for many years to come!

Ian D., of Potomac, MD, noticed his basement walls bowing more and more. He also had stairstep cracks in the walls that were growing. He called the foundation experts - Fortress Foundation Solutions!  A System Designer met with him and provided a free estimate to permanently stabilize his walls: a Carbon Armor Wall System. These straps are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against the basement wall. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite preparing the basement walls by grinding down strips. Next, heavy epoxy was applied to the walls and the carbon straps attached. ArmorLock brackets bind and secure the CarbonArmor straps to floor joists making the CarbonArmor solution fast, non-invasive, and ideal for quickly stabilizing bowing and leaning walls. Now this Potomac homeowner can sleep better at night knowing his walls are stabilized!

Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a series of PowerBraces to prevent further bowing in this customer's home. Over time, the braces can be tightened, and will eventually lead to a straightening of the affected wall.

This homeowner wanted to install new flooring in their Powhatan home, but had to address the sagging floors first. Part of their floor was being held up by a tree trunk! Chris Wilmouth, System Designer, came out to do a full inspection and provide a free estimate. Foreman, Warren Dickerson, who has lots of crawl space experience, came out with his crew to install Smart Jacks. These jacks provide stabilization for the floor joists to help sagging floors. Soon the floors were stabilized and ready to receive new flooring!
