Waterproofing Basement in Custis Ave, Cave Springs, Virginia

We strive to fix every home with top of the line materials! This client called Fortress Foundation Solutions about water collecting in their basement. Our System Designer, Caleb Stone, went out to their home, found the water seeping into the basement through the walls, and designed a solution himself for the issue. When our Foreman, Andre Luck (better known as "Lucky"), and his crew went out to fix the issue, they used the CleanSpace Wall Systems on the walls, as well as our WaterGuard drainage solution on the floor below to ensure that any water that was collected drained to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which was then transferred to the discharge line outside of the home.

Basement Waterproofing In Berkely Springs, WV

Jimi H. of Berkeley Springs, WV noticed water damage in his unfinished basement after a weekend of heavy rain. He recognized it was time to contact Fortress Foundation Solutions and schedule his complimentary estimate.

System Designer Kurtis Toppert identified that the pressure from the heavy rains had led to a buildup of water near the foundation, causing a hairline crack that allowed water to seep in—a phenomenon known as hydrostatic pressure.

Kurtis swiftly addressed the crack by utilizing flexible carbon fiber fabric straps called CarbonArmor which are up to 10 times stronger in tension than steel. Using high-strength epoxy resin, the carbon fiber straps were bonded to the interior face of the wall. They dried quickly and will not affect future basement finishing plans.

Immar and Edgar served as the foremen on this project. After applying the CarbonArmor, they covered the wall with in BrightWall and installed our WaterGuard system around the entire perimeter to ensure a consistently dry basement. Furthermore, they tied our WaterGuard system into our Triple Safe Sump Pump system, providing these homeowners with complete and total peace of mind.

10 Years of Flooding Permanently Fixed

This homeowner in Purcellville, VA had been dealing with basement flooding for 10 years! There were clear watermarks on the walls and the floors. They needed this problem solved permanently because they wanted to finish the basement and use it as a rental space. They knew that finishing the space without fixing the problem would lead to further issues and they couldn't in good conscious let someone rent and live in it. Water can cause damage to the walls and personal belongings, cause mold to grow, and affect the air quality of the basement and the rest of the home. The homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. System designer Caleb Stone went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution. They trusted Caleb's knowledge and expertise and accepted Fortress's help. Foreman Clarence Copeland and his crew went out and installed a full perimeter system with our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain. WaterGuard is the best choice for waterproofing a basement. It's installed below the floor slab and rests on top of the foundation footing which keeps it from potentially getting clogged by mud. WaterGuard is installed with minimal invasion of the slab and all concrete is restored after. This system flows into our TripleSafe Sump Pump, which has two pumps capable of pumping up to 6,120 gallons of water per hour. In the case of a power outage, a third pump runs on a battery backup and can pump up to 11,500 gallons per hour. This job was finished off with our CleanSpace wall to give the basement a bright and clean look for finishing in the future. This homeowner can now do any renovations to the basement they want and can be sure it will be protected!

Waterproofing Basement on North Seminole Trail, Brightwood, VA

This client had water leaking into his basement, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come give him an estimate for waterproofing. We sent out our System Designer, Danny Camunas, to the client's property, where he did a thorough inspection and wrote up a quote. After the client accepted, our Foreman, David Bowers, and his crew went out to complete the project. They started out by drilling around the edge of the wall to make room for our WaterGuard. After putting that down, they filled the hole with gravel, topped it off with cement, and finished the inside with some of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier along the walls. Attached to the WaterGuard outside was our LawnScape Outlet for drainage, along with our IceGuard to prevent freezing during the winter. The customer was very happy with his newly dry basement!

Encapsulating Crawl Space on Blue Ridge Road, Mineral, Virginia

We love seeing clean, dry crawl spaces! This particular homeowner, whose crawl space was already encapsulated, noticed a musty smell coming from his crawl space, and when our System Designer, Paul Heckman, went down there, he found that water was seeping into the crawl space through the insulated walls, and designed a solution. Our Foreman, Charlie Evans, and his crew went in and removed some of the old insulation, and replaced it with our own SilverGlo Insulation. They lined the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and installed one of our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to ensure that our client's home stays clean and dry! No more musty smells for this homeowner!
