Sump pump upgrade in Boonsboro, Maryland

Homeowners in Boonsboro, Maryland, got tired of dealing with water intrusion caused by their failing sump pump and waterproofing system. System Designer Matt performed a full inspection and, to no surprise, found that the sump pump was barely functional and the existing waterproofing system was clogged, as seen in the before photo.

Gustavo was the foreman on the project and completely revamped the home's waterproofing system by installing a full-perimeter WaterGuard drainage system and a TripleSafe sump pump system. As seen in the after photo, the new sump pump system is secure, reliable, and ready to keep this basement dry all the time.

10 Years of Flooding Permanently Fixed

This homeowner in Purcellville, VA had been dealing with basement flooding for 10 years! There were clear watermarks on the walls and the floors. They needed this problem solved permanently because they wanted to finish the basement and use it as a rental space. They knew that finishing the space without fixing the problem would lead to further issues and they couldn't in good conscious let someone rent and live in it. Water can cause damage to the walls and personal belongings, cause mold to grow, and affect the air quality of the basement and the rest of the home. The homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. System designer Caleb Stone went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution. They trusted Caleb's knowledge and expertise and accepted Fortress's help. Foreman Clarence Copeland and his crew went out and installed a full perimeter system with our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain. WaterGuard is the best choice for waterproofing a basement. It's installed below the floor slab and rests on top of the foundation footing which keeps it from potentially getting clogged by mud. WaterGuard is installed with minimal invasion of the slab and all concrete is restored after. This system flows into our TripleSafe Sump Pump, which has two pumps capable of pumping up to 6,120 gallons of water per hour. In the case of a power outage, a third pump runs on a battery backup and can pump up to 11,500 gallons per hour. This job was finished off with our CleanSpace wall to give the basement a bright and clean look for finishing in the future. This homeowner can now do any renovations to the basement they want and can be sure it will be protected!

Waterproofing Basement on North Seminole Trail, Brightwood, VA

This client had water leaking into his basement, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come give him an estimate for waterproofing. We sent out our System Designer, Danny Camunas, to the client's property, where he did a thorough inspection and wrote up a quote. After the client accepted, our Foreman, David Bowers, and his crew went out to complete the project. They started out by drilling around the edge of the wall to make room for our WaterGuard. After putting that down, they filled the hole with gravel, topped it off with cement, and finished the inside with some of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier along the walls. Attached to the WaterGuard outside was our LawnScape Outlet for drainage, along with our IceGuard to prevent freezing during the winter. The customer was very happy with his newly dry basement!

Waterproofing in Thurmont, MD

Homeowner in Thurmont, Maryland was experiencing water intrusion in his basement. After one particularly heavy rainstorm, he decided enough was enough - he wanted a dry basement all the time, regardless of the weather.

He reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions and scheduled a free estimate with Nathan. After inspecting the property, Nathan found several areas where water was entering the basement. As seen in the before photo, the basement was in rough condition.

Nathan recommended a complete waterproofing solution, which is shown in the after photo. The system included our WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump system, CleanSpace wall system, and TrenchDrain installed around the utility sink and water heater area to capture water before it could reach the basement floor.

Now, this Thurmont homeowner can enjoy peace of mind knowing his basement will stay dry, even during the heaviest rainstorms.

Industrial grade dehumidifier in Frederick, Maryland

Homeowner Helen, located in Frederick, Maryland, was in desperate need of a dehumidifier for her cellar. Moisture was collecting on her HVAC unit and water heater, and she didn’t like how damp the air felt - especially since she stored many of her seasonal items and belongings downstairs.

After a friend recommended Fortress Foundation Solutions, Helen reached out to us for help. Matt came out to inspect the property and knew the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier would be the perfect fit because Helen wanted a system she wouldn’t have to constantly maintain herself.

That same week, our service technician Donny installed the Sedona dehumidifier for her. Now, Helen’s humidity levels are under control, and she’s no longer dealing with excess moisture or condensation in her cellar.
