Randall was experiencing water intrusion in the basement of his Wirtz home, with water entering through the seam where the concrete floor met the block walls. Concerned about moisture damage and the long-term health of his foundation, he contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a permanent waterproofing solution. Nate and his crew installed a complete basement waterproofing system, including our WaterGuard® Full Perimeter Drainage System, a TripleSafe™ sump pump, and CleanSpace® Wall. Erin, a homeowner in Middlebrook, VA, had been dealing with water intrusion in their basement for years. After hearing that their neighbor had trusted Fortress Foundation Solutions to solve a similar issue - and was thrilled with the results - Erin decided to give us a call.

Bill, one of our experienced System Designers, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the home and developed a customized solution. For the basement, he recommended our WaterGuard® interior drainage system, which was tied into a SuperSump Plus™ system to effectively collect and remove water before it could reach the living space.

The project also included the home's connected crawl space, which required a complete encapsulation. Our crew removed the existing insulation and debris, sealed the stacked stone walls with spray foam, installed SilverGlo™ wall insulation, laid drainage matting throughout the crawl space, and encapsulated the area with our durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier. To control humidity year-round, two SaniDry Sedona dehumidifiers were installed, along with a dedicated crawl space sump pump for additional water protection.

Thanks to this comprehensive waterproofing and encapsulation system, Erin now has a dry, healthy, and protected basement and crawl space that will provide peace of mind for years to come. 

During a light rainstorm passing through Staunton, Virginia, Ms. Baker went downstairs to her finished, carpeted basement and ended up with wet socks. Her basement had flooded.

She Googled “wet basement repair” in her area and called us at Fortress Foundation Solutions. System Designer Joe went out to inspect the source of the water and found groundwater seepage pushing its way through the floor/wall joints. He put together a repair plan, and not too long after, we sent Gustavo and his crew out to take care of the job.

They started by removing the ruined paneling along the walls. Then, they jackhammered the floor around the perimeter and installed our WaterGuard system. After that, they laid clean crushed stone around the WaterGuard and resealed the floor with concrete.

They also covered the walls with our CleanSpace Wall System to prevent any moisture from seeping through the porous concrete walls. They finished off the job by tying everything into a TripleSafe sump pump system and left Ms. Baker’s basement clean, dry, and healthier than when they first arrived!

This client called Fortress Foundation Solutions about water collecting in herbasement. Our System Designer, Skylar, went out to the home and found water seeping into the basement through the walls. Skylar completed a full inspection and presented the homeowner with a proposal and a quote. She was happy with both and decided to move forward with the work. When our Foreman, Alex, and his crew went out to fix the issue, they used our WaterGuard drainage solution on the floor below to ensure that any water that was collected drained to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which was then transferred to the discharge line outside of the home.
