A wall in Michelle’s basement was bowing, so she called our team for help. Power Brace, a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place was installed by our team. Outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them. So, installing PowerBrace will give Michelle peace of mind that her walls are secure and eventually will return to their original position.

Ian noticed some cracking outside the home with some areas crumbling. He called and explained the situation and added that the floors of his home were uneven. We knew that his problem was a settling home and we knew just the solution to fix it. The Helical Piers stabilize the settling home and can help return it to the correct level.

The home pictured was experiencing sloping floors. When the owner decided to call Ayers our foreman Blade was able to treat the problem with a noninvasive and permanent solution. The product used is called a SmartJack. Placed at strategic points, the SmartJacks are anchored into the ground of the foundation with poured concrete. The tops are fixed to the ceiling support with load-bearing joints. The apparatus is tightened till constant support reenforces the rim joist.

Verbina called Ayers because her basement had cracks throughout all the walls, constantly letting dirt inside. The home was built in 1956 and was vacant for a few years. Our crew came out for an inspection and determined Verbena would need ShotCrete to seal off her foundation. 

Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes basement walls and fills any holes that let in unwanted dirt, water, or air. It’s applied though a high-pressure hose. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes the shotcrete able to be applied to vertical and sloping surfaces.  

Verbina was thrilled with the work completed by Ayers Basement Systems and our crews. She was so happy she doesn’t have to deal with the dirt and dust in the basement anymore and can actually use it. 

This Kalamazoo, MI Garage wall has seen better days. The concrete garage wall had an enormous horizontal crack spanning the length of the whole wall. Not only is this a scary sight for any homeowner, but the fear of knowing this wall can erupt any moment would send shivers down any spine. Not to worry, we have a solution for this problem. Our PowerBrace system was installed to anchor this wall to provide stability and support. These steel I-beam are placed along different sections of the wall, stretching floor to ceiling in length, and are secured into place with steel brackets. The anchors have the ability overtime to straighten this wall back out to its normal position.
