A homeowner in Chippewa Falls, WI was cleaning his basement when he noticed one of the wall's base panels was damp. He began to check the other walls and became concerned when he found the same issue throughout the whole basement. He decided not wait and let the issue continue growing worse and immediately began searching for solutions. We decided to send over Design Specialist Daniel Reinke to take a look at the basement and give his recommendations. Daniel explained that with this kind of issue, the basement needed to be fully waterproofed with the installation of our WaterGuard system around the basement perimeter. Richard R. in Floyd, IA had water leaking into his basement. He started searching for waterproofing contractors and he found the American Waterworks website. He was glad to see that we are waterproofing experts, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, went to his home to inspect his basement and design a solution. Mike developed a waterproofing plan that best fit Richard’s needs, so Richard scheduled the installation.

Our production team started the installation process by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They laid a partial perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system around the basement floor. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump and filled the void around the sump pump and WaterGuard with rock. Lastly, they replaced the concrete over the WaterGuard and around the sump pump. The drainage system now properly drains water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Richard can rest easy knowing that water will no longer be in his basement. He is glad he chose to invest in protecting his home for years to come.

Our Foamax Wall Panels is a special foam insulation that brightens the crawl space and prevents water moisture from seeping through.
