Wet Basement in Luverne, MN Gets Waterproofed

A homeowner in Luverne, MN, noticed that his basement walls had been retaining water and was concerned it would damage his home. He decided to look into basement waterproofing services in the area and found our website. The homeowner was pleased to see that we offer FREE estimates and decided to schedule his.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Kevin B., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution to the homeowner's issues. Kevin explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of a damp basement is a failed footing drain. When this fails, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation. Water enters through the joints between the wall and the footing. For this reason, Kevin recommended WaterGuard, our drain system that collects water at the perimeter of the basement and sends it to the sump pump, TripleSafe, our elite sump system that comes with three levels of protection, CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that collect water leaks and directs it to the drain system, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to leave in case the sump pump pipes freeze. After reviewing Kevin's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Gabriel R., and his crew arrived at the home to carry out the installation. They installed 1 TripleSafe sump system, 2 IceGuards, and 97ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Marvin and Carroll B. of Steen, MN had water leaking into their unfinished basement. They heard about American Waterworks through word of mouth, so they contacted our company. Our team came to the conclusion that Marvin and Carroll needed a reliable interior drainage system, so our crew installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which serves as an underground drain that collects water seepage and prevents mud clogs. Basement Wall Stabilized in Jamestown, ND

A customer from Jamestown, ND got in contact with us when they began losing sleep over a crumbling wall in their basement. Our customer knew that if he left the wall untreated he could run the risk of severely damaging the structural integrity of his home. When he called in we were able to set him up with our FREE estimate, which entitles customers to a thorough 3-hour inspection by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to do his inspection. Once completed, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could best fix the issue. Kole wanted to use two of our products to address the failing wall. First, he recommended the use of our Helical Piers to take some of the load off the foundation itself. These piers are used to provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation is transferred to the pier. He explained that our helical piers can help lift settled foundations back to the original level and that they are the ideal pier for a lighter structure. Kole also recommended the use of our ShotLock system, which entails encasing our PowerBrace, rebar, and steel mesh behind 4-6' of concrete. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.

Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew ended up installing 5 of our helical piers along with 34 feet of ShotLock through the basement of the home. When the work was completed, our customer was relieved to know that he could rest peacefully knowing that the foundation of his home was stable and secure.
