Foundation Repair Contractor in Eau Claire, WI

Nick B. of Eau Claire, WI had a horizontal crack on his foundation wall, and he wanted it repaired before it got any worse. He had basement waterproofing done by our company so he reached out to us again for foundation repair. Our Design Specialist, Chad, went to Nick's house, carefully inspected his foundation, and proposed the solution of our wall anchor system, which is the most versatile foundation repair system that we provide for homeowners. Nick was confident in the system and its features, so he went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Tremaine and his crew installed six of our wall anchors to stabilize and straighten the cracked foundation wall. This system can stop inward movement entirely and over time, the homeowner can tighten these anchors with a torque wrench to ensure the system is sticking to its design.

Bowing Wall Addressed in Plainview, MN

A homeowner from Plainview, MN, was down in her basement one day when she noticed some old cracks on the wall had begun to worsen. She was concerned about what the cracks worsening could mean. One of her close friends just so happened to be one of our Design Specialists, Darin S. She confided in him about her worries for her home, and he reassured her that he could assess the situation and see what could be done.

On the day of her FREE inspection appointment, Darin made sure to do a thorough sweep through the basement, paying close attention to the cracks the homeowner was the most worried about. He informed her that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not the side. When the pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they will begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt inward at the top. Darin went on to say that while this information might seem daunting, he was confident that our GeoLock wall anchors were the correct choice to restore the wall. Wall anchors can counteract soil pressure by anchoring the wall to the stable, undisturbed soil beyond your home's foundation. Darin finished by saying that after the installation was complete, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their original position. The homeowner was thrilled with Darin's approach to the issue and scheduled the job on the spot.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jesus C, led his team through a successful installation of 5 GeoLock anchors in the basement of the home. Now our customer is relieved knowing that her foundation worries are in the past!

Failing Foundation in Wabasha, MN

A homeowner in Wabasha, MN, was doing some landscaping in her yard when he noticed a crack running up her foundation. She was concerned because he didn't know if the crack continued below the foundation. He spoke with neighbors about the problem and was directed to American Waterworks. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel, headed out to the home to inspect the problem. Once he completed his inspection, he explained to the homeowner that her foundation was settling, which American Waterworks could help with. He went on to say that a failing foundation that is left unaddressed won't get better over time. Michel wanted to use our Helical Piers to stabilize and lift the foundation. Michel explained that our helical piers are the premier choice to lift the foundation back to its original position. These piers are mechanically advanced into the soil using small construction equipment or hand equipment. As they are installed to appropriate depths and capacities, they prevent any future settlement issues. The homeowner agreed with the proposal, and the foundation repair project was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.

Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew installed 3 of our helical piers on the failing side of the home. Now our homeowner can resume her daily life without worrying about her home's foundation!
