A homeowner in Hawley, MN, was concerned with the water stains throughout their basement walls and floors. Worried about the upcoming winter, the homeowner wanted to get a head start on waterproofing their home. The homeowner asked some of their friends, and they all recommended working with us. Interested in what we would say, the homeowner signed up for our FREE estimate on our website. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ian. After Ian arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began his evaluation of the basement. Following his evaluation, Ian determined that the basement did require waterproofing. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Ian's suggestions. After receiving the stamp of approval, the production plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew arrived at the home to begin. First, the crew installed the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Then, the crew installed the SuperSump + in the southwest corner of the basement. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace around all the basement walls. Finally, the crew installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. After installing all the waterproofing products in the basement, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were grateful to know that their basement was no longer at risk of flooding. American Waterworks is happy to assist other customers feel safe in their own homes. 

We received a request for a free estimate after this Blue Earth, MN homeowner noticed that his free-standing garage foundation was starting to shift and collapse. The SmartJack crawl space stabilizer is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. It's unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Because this system will not develop results, it will remain adjustable for years should further adjustments be needed down the road. The homeowner loved the idea of having a system that could be adjusted down the road and decided to schedule the project.

Once the date was selected, our Foreman, Luis, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Luis and his crew traveled to the home and started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to taking out the old sump pump and installing the SuperSump+. Nick and Carissa S. of Kandiyohi, MN had water leaking into their basement, causing them to worry about damage to property. Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls, prevent water and mud clogs, and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents mold and humidity, gives the basement a neat, clean appearance, and it covers any big holes or divots in the walls. To complete the installation, our crew filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the basement was neater and cleaner than when they found it. Nick and Carissa could not believe the beautiful transformation!
