Water was leaking into the Pine River Methodist Church causing water moisture, flooding hazards, and a funky smell. They called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to the church, inspected the problems, and came up with a solution that worked for management and their budget. Management was confident in Chad's proposal and presentation, so they signed the contract, wrote out a deposit check, and got the installation project on the schedule. 

Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team began the repairs by taking back the carpet, and breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is made to prevent water and mud clogs, collect water seepage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System around the half-wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity, act as an extra wall protectant, and guide water into the WaterGuard System. Lastly, Ryan and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System in the corner. Our TripleSafe is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners, it solves all three water problems in one system, and it provides three layers of protection. To complete the installation, our crew covered and filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. A homeowner from Staples, MN was beginning to notice a musty odor originating from her crawl space beneath her home. Not wanting the issue to worsen, she decided to call American Waterworks and take advantage of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the home. 

After Ian completed his thorough inspection, he informed the homeowner that she was experiencing odors because of water damage in the crawl space. He told the homeowner that crawl spaces are notorious for taking on unwanted water, completely unannounced to homeowners because crawl spaces are so hard to access and maintain. He went on to say that American Waterworks could offer a solution to this issue, by installing our crawl space vapor barrier and drainage matting. Ian explained that these two products work hand in hand to catch water entering the space through cracks or porous holes in the foundation, draining it to the appropriate disposal site. On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kingsley, and his team ended up installing 84 ft of CleanSpace and another 84 ft of draining mating. Now that the crawl space is properly sealed, our homeowner can enjoy an odor-free home!

The purpose of this is to prevent mold and humidity, save money on energy costs, and give the basement a bright appearance. Lastly, Jose and his team installed our PowerBraces around the wall perimeter over the CleanSpace. Our PowerBraces are designed to repair foundation walls over time and fix the inward bow. To complete the project, our crew covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space was neat and clean.
