Caitlin, a resident of Waldorf, MN, realized that her crawl space needed some attention. Crawl space insulation is important, as a number of comfort and energy problems are caused by inadequate or incorrect crawl space insulation. Specifically, with musty smells, mold, and moisture issues, Caitlin decided she needed to call American Waterworks for a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Eric, headed to the property to inspect the crawl space.

Following the inspection, Eric made his recommendations and answered all questions, and an appointment was made to implement solutions.

Our Foreman and his crew began the project by clearing debris and readying the spaces for installation. They then installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. Next the team added our SmartDrain, which helps fully waterproof the crawl space. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in. Finally, our team added an Aprilaire dehumidifier, which creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. Now, Caitlin's crawlspace is protected, and we improved her peace of mind.

Mary C. just moved into a new home in South Saint Paul, MN. After a couple of days, she noticed water seeping into her basement through a crack in the foundation. She saw a commercial for American Waterworks on the television and saw that we offer basement waterproofing, foundation repair, concrete repair, and radon mitigation. She decided to call us for a free estimate, so we sent out one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to inspect her basement and design a solution. Chad came up with a thorough waterproofing plan to ensure that her basement would remain dry for years to come. Mary was pleased with the proposal that Chad presented to her, so she scheduled a date to have our waterproofing system installed.

Our production team installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump and CleanSpace throughout the crawl space and halfway up the basement wall. The WaterGuard is a drainage system that properly drains the water to the sump pump- which then discharges the water from the home. The CleanSpace vapor barrier works to protect the basement from humidity and mold. The combination of these waterproofing products ensure that Mary’s basement will remain a clean, dry space.

Bill reached out to American Waterworks to find a solution that would permanently fix his garage and damp deteriorating walls. 

Jared, one of our Design Specialists, met with Bill to provide a FREE quote. Jared listened to Bill's questions and concerns, performed a detailed inspection, and designed a solution that met all of Bill’s needs. Bill was pleased with the proposal and scheduled the installation.

The production team, led by Raul B., installed WaterGuard along the full perimeter of the garage, as well as our SuperSump Plus. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime warranty. To help preserve the garage walls, our CleanSpace was installed which is a vapor barrier. This total system ensures a dry, comfortable garage that can be used for anything!

Nick P. of Lakeville, MN had water leaking in his crawl space, making him worry about the value of his home, especially if he ends up selling it. Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production team installed 525 feet of our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, which is made to prevent mold and humidity build-up and serves as an extra protectant. It also gives the space a neat and clean appearance. Nick was happy with the work and had a remarkable experience from start to finish! 

Denise H. in Saint Paul, MN was experiencing high humidity in her dirt crawl space and she noticed bugs were entering through that space because it was not encapsulated. Denise wanted to make her crawl space healthier and more energy-efficient, so she contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, went onsite to inspect her crawl space and develop a personalized solution. Denise was impressed with our products and Jeremy’s thorough plan, so she chose to move forward with the encapsulation.

Our production team removed the debris from her crawl space and leveled the dirt as best as they could. Then, they installed a SmartDrain and condensation pump. They laid our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the floor and FoamMax walls panels along to walls. Lastly, they sprayed the rim joists with our spray foam insulation and they installed a SaniDry dehumidifier. The combination of these waterproofing and encapsulation systems makes the crawl space a dry, energy-efficient, and healthier space. Denise was very pleased with the finished product and was thrilled with how hard working our crew was!
