Crawl Space Encapsulation Before and After in Minot, ND
A homeowner in Minot, ND, noticed a foul smell around their home. Unsure of the source, they began looking throughout their home. They discovered the smell was coming from the crawl space underneath their home. Worried about the long-term effects, the homeowner wanted to find a professional, lasting solution. The homeowner knew a friend who had a similar issue and they recommended working with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner waited for the arrival of James, one of our Design Specialists. Once James arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowners and began investigating the crawl space. James completed his detailed inspection of the crawl space and determined it needed to be encapsulated. James proposed the plan and the benefits it would have in their home. The homeowners agreed with James' suggestion and the plans were passed along to the office for approval. Once approved, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew traveled to the home and began encapsulating the crawl space. First, the crew installed Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Next, the crew installed Foamax on the crawl space walls. Once the Foamax was secured, the crew attached CleanSpace to the crawl space walls and basement floor. The crew successfully encapsulated the entire crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the excellent work completed by the crew. Radon Mitigation in Dodge, WI
Jen S. in Dodge, WI was selling her home and needed a radon mitigation system installed. Her realtor recommended American Waterworks, and we sent our Design Specialist, Kevin Kreofsky, to design a system that was unique to her home.
Our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, started the installation process by drilling a hole in the slab foundation of the home and connected a PVC pipe. The radon gas is drawn upward, and the pipe guides it to the fan. The fan draws and vents radon safely above and away from the home.
High Levels of Radon in Lewiston, MN
Brandon R. in Lewiston, MN had learned about the dangers of radon gas and decided that he needed to get his home tested. The test results showed a high level of radon. So our Design Specialist, Mac Cole, walked Brandon through the radon mitigation installation process and answered his questions. Brandon wanted to act quickly so his family's health would no longer be compromised, so he had the system installed as soon as possible.

A fan is also installed at the top of the PVC pipe where the gas is vented out to ensure that the gas is pushed away from the home. Brandon now has peace of mind knowing that his family is protected from this dangerous gas.
