A homeowner in Adrian, MN, knew it was time to have the stair-step cracks in their foundation repaired. Knowing they needed a professional to come to their home and take a look, the homeowners began looking for the best options near them. Recently there has been some flooding in the area, the homeowners asked friends in nearby towns if they had any suggestions. Several of their friends recommended working with us, American Waterworks. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Ryan. Ryan arrived at the home and began investigating the status of the basement. Following his thorough investigation, Ryan confirmed that the basement's foundation was struggling and required permanent stabilization. Ryan presented his plan to the homeowner and they agreed with his suggestions. After the homeowner approved it, they passed the plans on to the office for finalization. The office built the project and assigned it to our Foreman, Chris. After Chris received the plans, he and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew began by installing 19 GeoLock anchors around the perimeter of the basement. Once the GeoLocks were properly installed, the crew dug and placed the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Additionally, Chris and his crew installed a new sump pump, the SuperSump+, in the corner of the basement. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful to know their basement was permanently stabilized and properly waterproofed. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowners peace of mind in their homes. 

Jennifer from Echo, MN got in contact with us when she began to notice that her basement wall was showing signs of cracking, an indicator of wall failure. Our Design Specialist, Raul, and his crew worked to install the anchors on the problem wall in the basement. Once the job was complete, they installed 4 of our GeoLock anchors. Now Jennifer can enjoy her basement without worrying about her home's structural integrity! 

David K. in Tracy, MN had some cracking and severely bowing basement walls. He was concerned about the stability of his home and knew he needed to have a professional take a look before it was too late. He contacted American Waterworks after he saw our sign in his neighbor’s yard. He met with one of our Design Specialists who determined that the foundation walls had moved inward due to the expansive soils and hydrostatic pressure put on the walls from outside. 

Our production crew was successfully able to stabilize David’s foundation by installing 11 PowerBraces around the foundation of the home. They started the installation by securing brackets into the floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The PowerBraces not only permanently stabilized David’s foundation, but they also provide the potential for his walls to straighten back to their original position.

Tim and Jerry A. of Wood Lake, MN had a gap between their garage floor and their garage wall. They needed to find a foundation repair contractor that could pull their wall toward their garage floor. Our Foreman and his crew installed four of our wall anchors to pull the foundation wall closer to the garage floor. This system is installed by galvanized anchors, steel rods, and anchor plates, which provides the clamping pressure needed to bring the wall back to its natural position. Tim and Jerry were happy with the work that was done and couldn't believe that their wall was finally back to normal!
